What you will learn
The SL8500 Customer Operation course is designed to help customers maximize their investment by understanding the
salient operational, safety, and inter-connectivity issues.
This course is for Systems Administrators, Operators, and Data Center Managers
Learn To:

Describe the function, configuration, and operation of the SL8500.


Correctly identify the library modules and define their purpose.
Explain (or demonstrate) how to properly enter and exit the library.
Explain the drive options.
Explain the purpose of the front panel display, buttons, and indicators.
Explain the purpose for each menu option.
Describe the barcode labeling system.
Demonstrate how to use the StorageTek Library Console (local or remote) for diagnostic and operational reporting.
