"Belgian Congo Resources Map." Belgium: the Official Account of What Happened 1939-1940.
Belgian Information Center. Web. 16 Oct. 2015.
This map shows the most popular and used natural resources by Belgium in different areas of
the Belgian Congo. This map helped me see how many natural resources Belgium exported out
of their colony and used during the second World War.

"Belgium in World War II." World War 2 Database. Web. 16 Oct. 2015.
The World War II Database is a website that provides information on any country or military
ensemble that was involved in the second World War. This source was helpful to me because I
used it to get information about Belgium and their militarys movement during the war.

Buzin, Jean. "Belgian Congo Air Force." Web. 21 Oct. 2015

Jean Buzin wrote an account on the Belgian Congo air force during World War II explaining how
Belgium used people from the Congo to strengthen their military and air force. This account was
helpful to my research because it allowed me to understand the Belgian Governments military
and political strategies during the war.

De Vidts, Kim. "Belgium a Small Yet Significant Resistance Force during World War II." Hawaii
Pacific University. Web. 15 Oct. 2015.
2004KimdeVidts.pdf>
Kim De Vidts is a political science professor at Hawaiis largest private university, Hawaii Pacific

against german forces. This account was helpful to learn more on how beneficial the Congo was
to Belgium not only in natural resources but also in people and riches.

Trueman, C. "The Belgian Resistance." History Learning Site. 18 May 2015. Web. 19 Oct. 2015.
Chris Truman, the author of this description of Belgian resistances and sabotage strategies
during the Second World War, founded the website History Learning Site UK in 2000 and was a
professor for 35 years before dying of severe brain cancer in 2013. This article and analysis of
Belgian Resistance forces helped me analyze how these Belgium benefitted from these as they
resisted against the occupation and how it helped the country regain its pride and confidence
against these foreign forces.

Whiteley, James G. "The Belgian Congo Is Rich in Natural Resources." Belgium: the Official
Account of What Happened 1939-1940. Belgian Information Center. Web. 15 Oct. 2015.
James G. Whiteley was the Consul General of Belgium as well as the Former Consul General of
the Independent State of the Congo and wrote this very short account on how King Leopold
influenced the Belgian Congo and aided Belgium through the Occupation in WWII. This source
helped me obtain more information on how Belgium benefitted from their neutral leader at the
time and how having a leader like him helped them combat the opposing forces.
