SYMPHONY HALL

High School Band and Middle

School Percussion
Perform at Symphony Hall
March 2016
The Pentucket Regional High
School Concert Band performed
at one of the best acoustic venues
in the world just a few weeks ago.
As part of the USBands Concert
Festival, the concert band
members first attended
workshops focused on their
instrument family. The band then
performed four selections
including the popular trombone
feature Lassus Trombone by
Henry Fillmore. The middle
school percussion section joined
the ensemble for Inchon by
Robert W. Smith. The
percussionists were strategically
located throughout Symphony
Hall playing on bass drum heads
which gave the effect of a
helicopter flying by.
The day concluded with a clinic
based off of our performance

with Dr. Bradley Genervo,

Director of Bands at Messiah
College.
