According to...
the report of spray nozzle troubles in the deaerator of power
plants, the tilting of the valve disc due to perpendicular flow
impingement causes undue ware on disc and seat as well
as non-uniform flow distribution and noise.
Now, after doing our best to solve these problems,

PESSCO has developed DSV (Double spring Spray Valve)
based on the following design concepts.
1st
Conical-parabolic shaped DISC minimizes or prevents

the perpendicular flow impingement and insures uniform
spray pattern.
2nd
Double spring control sudden movement of DISC

due to operation mode changes therefore can prevent
undue wear on DISC and noise.
3rd
Streamlined Leg sections attached to the seat

prevent non-uniform spray pattern broken at the three
points.
4th
DISC manufactured by pressing work minimizes thickness reduction compared to spinning work.
5th
Movable Non-binding Teflon Sleeve minimizes

frictional resistance and maximizes trouble-free life.
6th
Double spring made of Stainless Steel Grade 631J1

because of its standing heat property for high
temperature.
7th
Double spring provides two support points of the

STEM, top and bottom.
8th
New BODY design minimizes fluid flow resistance

through the adapter pipe.

SPRAY VALVE
MAJOR FEATURES
DSVs are constructed of Stainless Steel 316.
Each valve is furnished and secured with a
Teflon Gasket and Elastic Stop Nuts, so no
special tool is required for installation and
removal.
However, it is noted that the Elastic Stop Nut
and Lock Nut are not reusable after removal and
should be replaced with new one.
DSV can be used as a direct replacement for

spray nozzles in all Deaerators. The two-bolting
configuration makes installation and replacement
fast and easy.
DSV comes into the world with the following

features and provides high performance overcoming the weaknesses of conventional spray
nozzles.
DSV produces a uniform, thin conical hollow
spray pattern under the wide range of flow rates
and rapid load changes.
Unlike the conventional spray nozzle designs,
the valve disc maintains a 60 spray angle when
installed on the slant.
The resulting uniform spray pattern of DSV
provides design flexibility of pipe header and is
ideal for instantaneous heating in deaeration.
STAINLESS STEEL STEM manufactured with drawing process.
NON-BINDING TEFLON SLEEVE minimizes friction between BODY

and STEM during normal operating movement of stem and prevents
tilting of the valve disc when installed on the slant.
INNER & OUTER SPRINGS control sudden movement of DISC

under the operation mode changes and provides two support points
of STEM to prevent undue wear on disc.
GASKET RETAINING RING which firmly secures

Teflon Gasket to prevent slip and by pass leakage.
CAST BODY with bolted in design for easy maintenance

and replacement minimizes fluid flow resistance through
the 3 inch adapter pipe.
CONICAL PARABOLIC SHAPED DISC minimizes or prevents

the perpendicular flow impingement and insures uniform spray pattern.
