Hello Friends and Family
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this communication and for considering my pageant
sponsorship request. I would like to begin by
telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Lauryn Shields and I am a nine year old Donelson Christian
Academy student.
My most recent accomplishment is being selected as a contestant in the 2016 Little Miss AKA Pageant
which will be held on
November 12, 2016 and receiving all As on my report card. The Nashville area Little Miss AKA Pageant
is one of several pageants hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated chapters across the
country. I will be participating in the local Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Kappa Lambda Omega Chapters
Little Miss AKA Pageant, which has been
held in the Nashville community since 1988.
Participating in the Little Miss AKA Pageant provides me a great opportunity to develop leadership skills.
This pageant also allows me the opportunity to be mentored by a variety of business professionals who
serve as role models to the pageant participants. Another benefit of my participating is I am able to
increase my understanding of and passion for philanthropy, all while making new friends along the way.
I am contacting you because I am hoping that you will participate with me! Yes, you can participate and
receive recognition for yourself and/or your company by being one of my sponsors. The sponsorship goal
is five hundred dollars five hundred dollars ($500). Sponsors will be featured in the souvenir journal and
your name/companys name will be featured in a video presentation which will be shown during the
pageant in November.
My top sponsors will be recognized on the Kappa Lambda Omega website through the beginning of the
2018 Little Miss AKA Pageant. The sponsorships allow the sorority to continue to award more than
$100,000 in educational scholarships to deserving college bound young men and women annually.
I sincerely hope you will choose to make a tax deductible sponsorship donation in my honor while
receiving some valuable advertising and community exposure as well.
