SelfReflection:
Ifeltasthoughthepresentationwentwell.Itwasanewexperienceformeto
teachforthatamountoftimeinfrontofaclass.ItwasaveryeyeopeningexperienceandI
learnedalotaboutmypersonalstrengthsandweaknesses.OneoftheaspectsofthelessonI
thoughtwentwellwastheactivity.Wehadalecturestyleforthethebeginningandtheendof
thelessonwithanactivityinthemiddletodemonstratethedifferencebetweenfairnessand
equality.Ibelievethatthisvarietyinthelessonhelpedthestudentsstayattentive.Ofcourse
havingfoodaddedtotheinterestoftheactivity.Ialsoworkedwellwithmypartner;therewas
nomomentwhereIwasntsurewhowasgoingtospeak.Wefedoffofeachotherscomments
andaddedcommentswhenwesawtheothergraspingtofindthewordstheyneeded.
Thereisalsoroomforimprovementinmypresentation.Forexample,atthebeginning
ofmypresentationIhadthetendencytospeakalittlebitfast,thiswasbecauseofthenerves.I
believethatthroughmorepracticeteachingIwillbeabletoovercomethis.Ialsohavethehabit
ofsayingumwhenIamthinkingabouthowtoformmysentencesinawaythatmakessense.
IfIslowdownandtakepausesinsteadofsayingum,itmaymakeiteasierforthestudentsto
followwhatImsaying.
