A good education system keeps the foundation of prosperity and success for the
country. If a country wants to be independent and economically well then it needs to
check the education system which it is following.
For
- There is need for more innovation in the education system.
- More advanced technologies should be used in this sector in order to compete with
other countries.
- More and more amendments should be done to make students more physically fit and
mentally strong.
- Schools and institutes should focus more on the development of an individual.
- Schools and institutes with education should teach values and manners.
Against
- The system is automatically changing and including new and moder options to help
students to improve their skills.
- The curriculum has already included the improvements like balanced textbooks and
they try to make it more interactive.
- Current education trends are using more technological programs to help students grow
and to increase their memory.
- Lots of programs is been conducted to help students to grow mentally and
professionally.
According to me the curriculum needs a revision on the prospects they are providing in
their education system to strengthen it more.

The government should stop funding IIT's and IIM's and, instead
divert the funds to primary education.
For- Primary education is compulsory for a person to build his/her personality but due to the
under developed nature of India, not every individual receives primary education.
- Government should make a conscious effort to make more people literate rather than
concentrating their sum on a small and confined population.
- Students from IITs and IIMs are migrating from India to other countries for better jobs
leaving a sour taste in everyones mind.
- Illiterate people in India are incapable of meeting the expenses of the primary schools
let alone IITs and IIMs. So, government should divert the funds on educating them with
the primary education rather than giving it to IITs and IIMs.
- Students going to IITs and IIMs are self capable of paying the expenses that are
required for these colleges.
- Compulsory primary education is necessary for the overall growth of the country.

Against- India being a developing nation needs these institutes to polish the young talent to
perform on the international front.
- Students migrating from these institutes results in the increase of our economy while
connecting us globally.
- The growth of young talent in India requires better education and reorganization as the
talent pool is vast and ever growing in India.
- IITs and IIMs produce brilliant minds that can help in shaping India democratically
and make it a better democratic country.

The Smartphones have entirely changed the world of communication, and the impact of its introduction is
visible on personal as well as professional lives. Smartphones come with multifunctional tools and several
number of apps which bring uncountable benefits to businesses both large and small. It is the prime
reason behind the name Smartphones. However, there is a group which believes that Smartphones are

- The greatest drawback of using smartphones is the adverse impact on peoples memory. Nowadays,
people tend to forget things due to excessive use of Smartphones.

Marriage is a very important social institution. Every individual wants to have a perfect match, but the
criteria for choosing the partner is different. In love marriages, individuals prefer to choose their partners
on their own, while in case of arrange marriages individuals prefers partners chosen by their family or
parents. There is a continuous debate regarding the best way to choose the partner for marriage. Lets

- Both individuals know each other already and mutually decide to spend the whole life with each other.

-Couple is guided by parents experience whereas in love marriage couple is unknown about the future

the course of her week-long stay with him. Termed as one of the oldest profession, prostitution
has always been a thorn on the side of the so called moral people of our society. Termed as an
unhealthy appendage of our society, it has always been given a low status and many have even
tried to abolish this profession. However, they simply pushed it underground. Is it so immoral to
provide sexual services for money? What about those girls and women who have no other
option to earn a livelihood? On top the social stigma it has received, the illegal status of the
profession makes it even more risky. So should we reduce all our troubles by legalizing it?

1. It is a profession and is voluntary. No one forces anyone to engage in it. The clients as well
as the service providers (as long as both are consenting adults) can decide for themselves.

2. Legalizing this would serve legitimate needs. Many go to such services to find comfort and
companionship. Restricting sex to marriage has not been very successful. Many need such
services as they are not satisfied in their married life.

3. Prohibiting prostitution does not stop such services, but rather pushes these activities
underground. So its better to legalize such activities as long it is voluntary on the part of the
customer and the service provider.

4. It is difficult to regulate prostitution due to its underground nature. Legalizing it would give
opportunity to the government to regulate it stringently. Many say it is social stigma and
immoral. Yet it has continued since ancient times. So a regulated legal approach can be
beneficial.

5. The income earned in this profession is termed illegal thus leading to creation of black
money. Legalizing can help bringing in financial regulation also. Legal prostitution can increase
tax collection and help increase revenues of the government.

because people do it and have been doing it. Many people exceed the speed limit on roads but
we do not cancel the limits. We still enforce them. This for the safety of the driver and others in
the society.
It is very debatable issue as to whether we must legalize prostitution. However it must be borne
in mind that human rights are an important part of our civilization and prostitution does not
guarantee human rights to sex workers. The Netherlands has the most progressive legislation in
the field of prostitution. It permitted voluntary prostitution, the idea being to free women from the
tyranny of the underworld of prostitution. Unfortunately the Dutch sex industry has, since
legalization, been infiltrated by violent gangs and the country is now a hub for international
trafficking and drugs gangs. So we can see that even legalization has not helped the women
engaged in prostitution. Many a times women have no option and have to resort to such
professions. By legalizing it we are simply encouraging them. We need to instead find more
innovative ways to tackle this menace of prostitution than simply legalizing it.

Private or government hospital: which one would you prefer?

Introduction:
The special treatments, effortlessness, cleanliness, and advanced facilities provided in
private hospitals across the country make us rush to them in cases of simple or serious
illness. We cannot deny that the level of comfort a patient and his caretakers receive in
private hospitals is far advanced in comparison to what we find in government run
hospitals. However, you will be shocked to know that in a metro city like Kolkata where
numerous private hospitals have sprung, its still only the two government hospitals in
the city -SSKM and RG Kar -that have a burn unit. Some of the private hospitals have
burn treatment unit but they are equipped with lesser facilities that makes them treat
only patients with 50% burn. In serious cases, the patient has to be carried to the
government hospital. That makes us think whether it is private hospital or the
government ones that are more reliable.
Private hospitals are better:
1.Better equipped: Since private hospitals are aided by a group of people who would
not risk their reputation in the business, they ensure better equipping of the hospital
facilities. You never have to rush around in private hospitals for tests and reports since
the staff takes care of these things. Good quality is ensured, making treatment easier
and more advanced.
2. Individual care: In private hospitals, patients are individually taken care of in the
most specialized way whereas in government hospitals, the kind of care allotted to
patients is more generic. If you have ever visited the general ward in a government
hospital, you will know that the condition of patients already suffering from an ailment is
pathetic.
3. Hygiene: Cleanliness and hygiene is better maintained in private hospitals. It is
highly important that hospitals needs to be clean and regularly disinfected to prevent
contagion to other patients and the visitors. This is one of the most lacking part in
government hospitals where even the patients wards are in the same condition as the
lavatory area of the hospital. This happens to be one of the major reasons why most
people prefer private hospitals.
4. Vigilance: Private hospitals are more secure for individuals since patients are always
under the observation of specialists. There are more security measure as well such as
CCTV cameras and guards. The number of babies stolen or exchanged due to gender
differences from the maternity wards of government hospitals is disturbingly high.

Government hospitals are better:

1. Expenses: The cost of treatment in government hospitals is very low in comparison
to the bills of a private hospital. The government hospitals are funded entirely by the
government and hence there are even free treatment facilities to poor families. Apart
from these aids, the government also provides monetary help to patients of poor
families towards their good health through government hospitals.
2. Treatment to complex ailments: The government hospitals are better equipped to
deal with serious and critical conditions like severely burnt cases. In these cases when
the patients rush to private hospitals in order to get better individual care, they simply
refuse to take the patient in and they have to be rushed to government hospitals
immediately. Government hospitals have specialists to take care of most of the severe
ailments.

Government aids hospitals to provide better care and cost effective treatment to
patients who could not afford to pay the bills of private hospitals. But the poor conditions
of government hospitals, the negligence of doctors there, lack of beds, lack of hygiene
makes it worse and the patients family is nearly afraid of admitting their patients in
government hospitals. The government must take measures to ensure that the hospitals
not only provide cost effective treatment but also provide better care and facilities to the
ailing patients.

Do we really need smart cities?

The rate of migration from rural to urban areas is increasing across the world day by day. By
2050, around 70% of the people will be living in cities and India is no exception in this regard.
There is an emerging need for the cities to get smarter in India so that it would tackle the issues
related with the large scale urbanization.
Smart city can be defined as a city which should be equipped with basic infrastructure to give a
decent quality of life.
Recently, PM Modi has announced his vision to set up around 100 smart cities across the
nation. The 100 smart city mission tend to promote the adoption of smart solutions for the
proper use of available resources and infrastructure.
But, does a country like India require a smart cities? Let's take a look.
Yes Smart cities are required.
1. Good infrastructure The main aim of constructing a smart city is to provide good
infrastructure to the residents, such as water and sanitation services, 24*7 electricity supply etc.
The information will be collected through the detectors gas, electricity and other government
analytics, which will be carefully complied into small grids and then, will be fed into the
computers. This process can focus on making the city efficient.
2. Smart solutions Smart cities are required as it would also provide smart solutions such as
providing public data, electronic service delivery, 100% treatment of water waste, monitoring
water quality etc.
3. Promotes development Smart cities enhance the developmental activities of a region. A lot
of developmental activities such as building schools, organizations, shopping malls can take
place. These activities benefit everybody including citizens, businesses, government and
environment.
4. Housing for All The main aim of a smart city is housing for all. More than 70% of the
Indian population would be living in cities by 2050. Due to the rising urbanization, a better
standard of living is required. To support this rising shift, a sustainable model of housing should
be developed.
5. Provides employment A smart city is an economy of agglomeration. It provides various
opportunities and advantages to its residents. India is expanding rapidly and the emergence of
smart city can provide employment for many. The construction of a smart city requires a lot of

No Smart cities are not required

1. Dumb administration The politicians of India have picked up the term smart city to
woo the youngsters. In the past few months, we have witnessed the real face of the
corrupt ministers who rule our country. Corruption has become a part of our country's
identity. Talking about a smart city and creating a plan under the corrupt minsters is a
waste of time and resources. Smart city is not possible with a set of dumb
administrators and politicians.
2. Unable to afford In a smart city, people have to build their own houses according to
their financial capacity. A lot of people would not be able to afford a place in smart city
as it would be very costly. Thus, people from middle class and poor section of the
society won't be able to enjoy the benefits of a smart city.
3. Better utilization of places A large acre of land would be wasted for the construction
of a smart city. If properly utilized, this area can be turned into a biodiversity park later
on. Cities which are rich in river beds and hilly regions can be utilized to avoid
ecological degeneration.
4. Proper use of fund India is a country which is better known for its increasing poverty
rate. Only a certain part of the city would be utilized for constructing a smart city
whereas, the other part of the city would be still under the shadow of poverty. We
should understand that smart city won't be able to solve the basic issues of an entire
state or city. If the fund which is planned to be spent for a smart city is utilized for
decreasing the poverty rate, India would be much ahead of other countries.

Social media is killing book reading habit!

With the growing influence and liking towards social media, it will surely become difficult to fill
the room with books. A survey in UK showed that with the increasing age, the tendency to read
a book decreases; the effect profoundly seen when comparison was made between three age
groups - six to eight, 12-14 and 15-17 year old. There have been frowns from parents and many
quarters of society towards the teen indulgence in FB, internet and other social media websites.
They are not happy with the neglect of reading books. Thus its worthwhile to discuss on the
thought that whether social media is killing the practice of reading books?

1. Social media is unproductive use of time as it only entertains you and gives no food for
thought.
2. The amount of education you get from it is very less compared to reading books.

4. Most of the time is spent in searching what others are doing, which can be well spent in
reading which atleast adds knowledge to your own life.

6. Due to the fast changing content on such websites, the attention span of the readers has
reduced. So an important habit of thinking over a thought, giving it time to percolate in your

social media mostly indulges the cravings of people rather than what is good for them.

1. Times change and with it, habits. Even if people are moving away from reading, one
can always devise better ways to indulge them in reading. One cannot blame everything
on change in culture and social media.
2. Teens are just trying to find themselves and prioritize socialization over reading
something alone.
3. They are getting connected instead of being alone.
4. With increasing age there is bound to be changes in tendency as teenagers feel the
need to establish one's presence in society, find one's position and hence use all the
methods available to socialize; an important one being the social media.
5. They are learning to find themselves with the social media. This is in no way affecting
reading.
6. Socialization is their current priority, but this does not mean that social media is
affecting reading books.
7. There is lack of literature which can suit contemporary needs and thoughts. The
classics might be good but do not necessarily suit everyone.
8. Also disinterest in reading is mostly seen due to no encouragement to reading. For
this, parents, peer groups, teachers, etc. could be blamed, rather than social media.

Reading enriches ones intellectual abilities. Depth in reading helps to develop the mind
and personality of a person; it provides insights into human problems, and influences
attitudes and behavior. In other words, reading helps to mould a persons character. It is
well known that books can be a stimulating agent for building oneself. In this fast
changing world, there are going to be lots of distractions. We must innovate to make
book-reading relevant again. Encouraging book-reading through social media,
incorporating reading in social media, eBooks, developing relevant and quality literature,
role models with whom the teens can connect, etc. can be a few starting steps. Instead
of blaming we need to work constructively so as to not deny ourselves the benefits of

market. One with highest amount of that currency is being favored nowadays - its Emotional
Intelligence. Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to recognize one's own and other people's
emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, and to use
emotional information to guide thinking and behavior. It affects how we manage behavior,
navigate social complexities, and make personal decisions that achieve positive results. It is
measured by EQ (Emotional Quotient) which is analogous to IQ (Intelligence Quotient). It is
slowly spreading over the turf of subject expertise. It is gaining more prominence than subject
knowledge. Is it really worth that much attention?

1. Subject knowledge will always save the day.
2. EI can get you only little far. It is useful only when stress levels are high. Subject expertise is
universal.
3. In conditions of stability and peace all are calm and at such juncture it is the subject
knowledge that can provide innovation to jump start things.
4. New ideas flow not due to EI but due to experience, expertise and knowledge.
5. Man's inventions and discoveries have not come from emotional intelligence but from
experiments and subject knowledge.
6. Managing emotions may be an important feature when it comes to social life, but in the
present world where development is of prime importance and economy being increasingly
transformed into knowledge economy, it is the subject knowledge that will help get across
barriers.

1. ''IQ gets you hired, but EQ gets you fired'' or a more positive version being ''IQ gets you hired,
but EQ gets you promoted''.
2. EQ is a better indicator of success in the workplace and is used to identify leaders, good
team players, and people who best work by themselves. Thus one can easily see its importance
if one's aim is to live a successful life.
3. EI is managing oneself. Humans are social animals, which makes EQ a more necessary
component to living a happy and successful life.
4. In stressful environment how we manage ourselves and deliver is what counts. This saves
the day.
5. Business leaders feel that technical expertise alone is not enough for excellence in the
workplace. These leaders all know employees who are technically proficient and even brilliant,
but left a path of destruction behind them because of their emotional ineptitude.
6. People would like to do business with people whom they like and trust even if their IQ is low.
Liking and trust is gained only with high EQ.

There has to be balance of both these factors. No one thing can replace the other one. Without

knowledge where a moral compass guides a person to use the expertise for good or the bad of
society. One must always acknowledge that emotional intelligence may help in problem solving,
but it is the knowledge that leads to real progress. So we must be able to maintain a healthy

Should Maggi Be Banned?

No one can ever forget the two minute advertisement of Maggi. It is one of the most loved fast-food in
India. The fans would now have to deal with a bad news as Indian food inspectors have asked Nestle
India to recall a consignment of Maggi Noodles from northern state of U.P. The inspectors claimed that
Maggi Noodles contain high levels of MSG and lead. The ongoing problem can also result in a ban on
Maggi in India. Do you think Maggi should be banned?

If the claim of Indian food inspectors about LEAD content being 17 times higher than the standard is
true, then definitely Nestle should be put under the legal scrutiny and Maggi should be banned.
Maggi Noodles is a junk food that targets youngsters and children. They need healthy food to live a

Till now the tests have shown that Maggi sample contained MSG and lead. Those people who support
MSG should not forget that the problem extends to excess lead content.

If Maggi has to be banned, all those foods should also be banned.

Women should get to wear whatever they want!

Introduction:
Gone are the days when women accepted rules that were patriarchal in nature owing to the
mythical belief that those rules were intended to protect the dignity of women. Women today are
stronger and full of self respect. We understand our good and bad and do not want to be
dictated about how we should lead our lives. Talk of these things and the society starts accusing
you of being extremely feminist. And it is the same society we grew up in which leaves us with
two options - bow down to the rules and be accepted or take a stand for yourself and for
womanhood at large. We talk of women empowerment but blame a girl for wearing provocative
clothes that excited the sick-headed rapists. Some are of the view that it is vague and
hypothetical to say that women can dress anyway they want. Are rules really needed to restrict
what women should wear and what not?

1. A rich businessman wearing gold rings and bracelet gets robbed of his jewels and money by
a bunch of robbers. Do we blame him for provoking the poor robbers, showing off something
they wanted but could not have? We don''t. We don''t blame the victims of murder, robbery and
other crimes. If a rich man can by all means flaunt his assets because they are his to do with as
he pleases, why is a beautiful woman blamed of flaunting her body with dresses of her choice?
2. India is no more in the stone age and people have to stop being hypocrites if they realize that
gender equality is necessary in a nation with growth motto. These people who stop women at
their homes, or their community or society from wearing western clothes are the same people

should be done away with. A working woman is still expected to look all traditional once she
steps into the confines of her home. The double standard in our society is utterly dictatorial to
women and has been subjecting her to prove her dignity right from her appearance to her
dresses and expressions.
4. The confidence with which a woman sets her foot into the corporate world is half shattered
when judgemental heads of the society raises questions on her dresses and deliberately makes
her realize the westernization stigma attached to it. For all they know, the woman could be
someone struggling to make her identity in a world full of male chauvinists. She could be the
sole bread earner of the family. She could be a troubled mother fighting to provide a better
future for her children. Surpassing all these attributes, what society sees is the way she is

dressing, allegedly to lure men. We surely wouldn''t want this kind of a society where our
daughters would grow up, not do we want our sons to be a part of this kind of low thinking. This
has to stop once and for all.
5. Traditions of most Indian families cite that a girl who is about to meet her prospective in laws
and husband should be dressed in ethnic clothes to make them like her and select her. Is she
worth liking only in ethnic clothes and not in her regular casual clothes which she wears more
often and would continue wearing them in future? Woman must put their foot down on this one
too. Like her the way she is originally rather than expecting her to be a mannequin who would
put on anything and everything that pleases you.
6. If she dresses up too moderately, she is regarded as someone who has no sense of dressing
at all and should hence be subjected to rejections. If she dresses a bit too bold, she is someone
who is solely responsible for generating evil thoughts and ideas in men. It is an unsaid rule that
women have the responsibility of curbing the sexual desires of men who could go wanton and
she would be blamed for it anyways.
7. It is still thought that women dress either to lure male attention or to make other women
envious. Her sexuality and rights to look good for her own sake is regarded a vague concept.
You look good and you feel confident and good about yourself only applies to men if our almostpatriarchal-yet-fighting-for-women rights society is to be believed.

1. Restricting women from wearing some types of dresses is not always about freedom of
dressing or objectifying her. Women these days are truly allowed to dress the way they want.
Society could do the talking for all they want. It doesn''t stop her from wearing what she wants.
But this has its consequences. In a country where most men are obsessed with sex and have it
in their gene to objectify women, pass lewd comments at her, and think of all sorts of ways to
humiliate her, it naturally comes down to women to protect her dignity from these animals.
Freedom here could have a price to pay.
2. In countries where wearing bold clothes is common, men are eventually used to seeing
women in them. The same cannot be said about our country. We have long had the veil system
where women were required to keep their faces covered, forget about sleeveless or short
dresses. Men here are naturally more obsessed with sex and do not understand that dignity lies
in the eyes of the beholder. Tourists in India have been known to undergo a lot of mental and
sexual harassment merely from the eyes of men.
3. It is utter nonsense to say that a woman was raped just because she was wearing
provocative clothes. It is the rapist who should be blamed and punished and not the woman who
should be tormented to prove that she was modest. However, we cannot forget that it is not just
one or a hundred of these kind of men on loose. The entire race of them is out there free to do
what they want. They are untamed animals. When there are untamed lethal animals on lose, the

safety of women becomes her own responsibility.

4. Both men and women are confined by laws regarding their dresses. Men are also not
absolutely free to wear what they want. Can men go to offices in causal shorts? No. Can women
go to offices in short skirts? Yes. Look at the differences between men and women sections in
departmental stores. Women have a larger and more enhanced sections always, hence more
options and choices.
5. There are some places in US where roaming about topless at beaches is absolutely fine. Can
the same be said about all the beaches in US? No. Women are not allowed to sunbath sans
bikini everywhere even in the same country where at some places it is allowed. It all comes
down to following the laws of the place where you are at the moment.
6. When one is showing off, it is definitely her choice. Not restricting her or stopping her for we
have the much hailed freedom. However, when you show off way too much than common at a
place, you do get uninvited attentions. You cannot expect them to not look at what you are
showing off. Psychologically, it all depends upon the mentality of people in that region. Go to
remote villages of Rajasthan and people will stare and drool at you even when you are wearing
simple top and denims.

It is justified to say that women should have freedom to wear whatever she wants to wear, given
that she adheres to the rules of the locality and the dress codes in formal settings. Both men
and women are bound by laws but objectifying women in regards to what she wears is absurd.
Our society would never get over this issue unless and until it is addressed. If society thinks that
rapes happen because of the way women dress, these men should be blindfolded whenever
they set foot out of their houses.

Dowry is evil but so is the misuse of dowry harassment law:

Ever since ancient times of the Vedas, dowry has been a tormenting part of Indian marriages.
Sad but true the evil of killing the girl child, which is one of the worst crime against women,
came up from the practice of dowry system. In ancient days, when the evil cause was more
seriously followed by people of all castes, the poor ones thought of killing the girl child when
they were born to get rid of paying heavy amounts as dowry. Enlightenment came, reforms were
made, yet these evil practices continue to ruin lives of women everywhere. In 1961, Dowry
Prohibition Act was passed, but still more than 10,000 dowry cases are registered every year.
Some of these are genuine complaints of tortured women but then there are some cases which
mark the misuse of this law. The home ministry has recently asked all state governments to be
judicious in invoking the stringent anti-dowry section of IPC in matrimonial disputes as the
provision may be used as weapons rather than shields by disgruntled wives.
Dowry prohibition law should be strict:
1. Bride burning and torturing of women for dowry is still an integral part of Indian marriages,
especially amongst the poor and illiterate families, who are unfortunately the major part of Indian
population. Only strict laws and punishments can ensure that the violator of the law pays the
price for harassing women. Any sort of relaxation to the law would lessen the fear amid already
fearless people who commit such inhuman acts.
2. Female infanticide, sex detection and abortion are all crimes that initiated from the evil
practice of dowry system. If equal rights and freedom is to be given to women in India, the root
cause of the evil has to be removed first. It is only then that we could stop other crimes against
women.
3. The narrow mindedness of the society that feels the birth of a girl child is a burden on their
parents has to be removed. Instead of feeling blessed, the parents begin planning on how they
will get her married when time comes and what all they will have to save for her marriage. A
girls right to education gets left behind these thoughts. For a developing country, the
contribution of well educated women is of great importance. A complete ban on dowry system is
the sole solution to achieve this.
4. Gender inequality prevails in India and dowry system is one of the reasons why it is still
popular even when women are coming ahead in all fields of science, economics, politics, and
even in army and air forces. To treat a son and daughter equal, it is important for the parents to
realize that they dont have to spend all the savings of their life to get her married one day.

5. Marriage is about promise of being together in good and bad times. The dowry system makes
it a trade where one party pays the other party for not harassing their daughter. If they fail to
fulfill their greedy demands, the daughter is burnt to death. Only strict laws can stop this kind of
evil practices.

Dowry prohibition law should be amended:

1. False complaints have been detected in many cases and some of them have spoilt lives of
men and their family. In order to trouble the in-laws or revenge the husband for a dispute,
insane women file false complaints of dowry harassment which in turn proves life spoiler to the
husband. Some of them lost reputation, years in jail, loss of job and businesses, and some even
committed suicide after being penalized for a deed they never committed. It is extremely
necessary that these laws should be amended to help preventing such cases.
2. There has been great rise in dowry complaints in recent times. The National Crime Records
Bureau statistics has it that nearly 200,000 people, including 47,951 women, were arrested for
dowry offences in 2012, but only 15% of them were convicted. This shows that the law is being
misused and needs amendment.
3. The women who are abused for dowry are usually of the poverty struck areas and they hardly
make use of this law. There are thousands of dowry harassment cases that are not even
reported. It is not laws that solve all the matter. Educating men and women is necessary. They
need to know that both have equal rights and evil practices such as dowry is punishable
offence.
4. Non bail laws of dowry harassment leads to arrest of innocent men too and that also without
an investigation. This kind of law leaves easy loops for being misused.
Conclusion:
Dowry system is an evil practice, no doubt, but the law must be further amended to ensure
justice to both men and women. Home ministry correctly instructed their police officers not to
automatically arrest a person when a case under Section 498A of IPC is registered but they
must satisfy themselves about the necessity for arrest under the parameters laid down flowing
from Section 41, CrPC.

Live-in relationships are against Indian culture

Live in relationship, a common trend in the western culture and is now a budding trend in India
as well. But the question arises that does our Indian culture and its roots have accepted this
culture.

- Live in relationships have been legalised in India and is gradually being accepted specially
amongst the young generation
- The courts have been cautious about their elucidations about live in relationships, wherein
they stress on the need of a long-lasting relationship and share similar responsibilities as that a
husband and wife share in marriage
- As per the law, living together is not a crime, but it is right to life

- Live-in relationship for men and women who are already married is and should be considered
illegal
- Lot of live in relations are not registered and if there is any kind of abuse conducted on the
women, then they do not have the courage to fight against it and ultimately succumb to it
- It is yet not being accepted in our culture and this lead to a lot of notoriety in the culture
- If somehow the live in relation does not work, it gets all the more difficult to find a groom or
bride and especially in case of women because of the rejection
- Even in todays time, men prefer women who are virgin and hence its difficult for the girl

- Every culture is different and its not necessary that we should adopt all cultures from the west.
Every country has its boundaries and respect for women which should not be crossed.
- Marriage is considered to be a sacred relation and with live-in relation we are mocking the
whole meaning of the term marriage.

We all who are working in MNC's that these companies provide high Salary but you guys know that,
who are living smooth live in country, all those are working in Indian Companies, They do not have
that much of salary but as an average people stay in Domestic companies more than MNC's. This data
also tells that people only want to work in MNCs for higher packages only, if job is related to facilities,
they should not leave these companies very frequently.
Also these companies give growth only according to their countries and average comes out 5-8% as
average where the inflation rate in India is atleast 12%, how people can survive, another painful thing
is that, these companies does not care anything when they don't need you.

In some experiences people just leave because the culture of these companies now a days is not that
as it is shown to us. The big building they have made for their own purpose not for us. The high
facilitated grounds are to show to their customers not for us, we are just using according to their
rules. And rules changes according to their need not for employees.
I am also working in MNC and not against these but we should consider before we are going to give a
big part of our life to these. As I have seen that work-life balance is in papers only, not actually.

Competitive advantage - Another drawback will be, if some competition comes, say from Africa or

Corruption is the price we pay for democracy.

Corruption is any unfair means to get your work done. Corruption exists in almost in every sector. In small
terms corruption exists in colleges where students pay to get marks. In big terms it exists in politics!
As we know, democracy means of the people, for the people and by the people. It is to help people leave
the way they want. This liberty however can be misused. Hence a question here is Is democracy
resulting in corruption?

Degree and skill are two sides of the same coin. To succeed in the race of life, a person need to have a

documentation of the skill within the individual. Every person having the skill may not manage to attain the

weightage the degree or the skill?

Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana have pulled out the sales of Maggie from the states.
