country? (01-9-2012)
A good education system keeps the foundation of prosperity and success for the
country. If a country wants to be independent and economically well then it needs to
check the education system which it is following.
For
- There is need for more innovation in the education system.
- More advanced technologies should be used in this sector in order to compete with
other countries.
- More and more amendments should be done to make students more physically fit and
mentally strong.
- Schools and institutes should focus more on the development of an individual.
- Schools and institutes with education should teach values and manners.
Against
- The system is automatically changing and including new and moder options to help
students to improve their skills.
- The curriculum has already included the improvements like balanced textbooks and
they try to make it more interactive.
- Current education trends are using more technological programs to help students grow
and to increase their memory.
- Lots of programs is been conducted to help students to grow mentally and
professionally.
According to me the curriculum needs a revision on the prospects they are providing in
their education system to strengthen it more.
The government should stop funding IIT's and IIM's and, instead
divert the funds to primary education.
For- Primary education is compulsory for a person to build his/her personality but due to the
under developed nature of India, not every individual receives primary education.
- Government should make a conscious effort to make more people literate rather than
concentrating their sum on a small and confined population.
- Students from IITs and IIMs are migrating from India to other countries for better jobs
leaving a sour taste in everyones mind.
- Illiterate people in India are incapable of meeting the expenses of the primary schools
let alone IITs and IIMs. So, government should divert the funds on educating them with
the primary education rather than giving it to IITs and IIMs.
- Students going to IITs and IIMs are self capable of paying the expenses that are
required for these colleges.
- Compulsory primary education is necessary for the overall growth of the country.
Against- India being a developing nation needs these institutes to polish the young talent to
perform on the international front.
- Students migrating from these institutes results in the increase of our economy while
connecting us globally.
- The growth of young talent in India requires better education and reorganization as the
talent pool is vast and ever growing in India.
- IITs and IIMs produce brilliant minds that can help in shaping India democratically
and make it a better democratic country.
- Students are coming to these institutes from other countries thus generating revenue
for India.
- It is the students of IIM, IIT and other big institues who help in creating employment
opportunities in India.
Love marriage
- Both individuals know each other already and mutually decide to spend the whole life with each other.
-Couple is responsible for its choice and onus of the blame in future lies on the couple only and nobody
else.
-Couple is aware of each others likes and dislikes. Therefore they will get along well.
-Couple can eradicate social evil like dowry with their mutual consent because they have the
independence to take such decisions at their own level.
-The culture of the extravagant spending too can be curbed by the understanding between the couple.
Arrange marriage:
-Arrange Marriage is not a contract between two individuals alone but a confluence of two families.
-Two families involved in arrange marriages know each other very well and are compatible with each
other.
-Because there are more people involved in arrange marriage, the conflict between the couple will be
effectively resolved or mitigated.
-Couple is guided by parents experience whereas in love marriage couple is unknown about the future
complexities in life and lacks this experience.
Conclusion:
Both ways have their merits as well as demerits and marriage is a decision of lifetime. Though families
are involved in most of the marriages, its the couple which has to live together for lifetime. So, the
decision to choose life partner should be left to the individuals. Ultimately no one can certify the best way
for a perfect marriage life because like life marriages too are full of uncertainties.
2. Legalizing this would serve legitimate needs. Many go to such services to find comfort and
companionship. Restricting sex to marriage has not been very successful. Many need such
services as they are not satisfied in their married life.
3. Prohibiting prostitution does not stop such services, but rather pushes these activities
underground. So its better to legalize such activities as long it is voluntary on the part of the
customer and the service provider.
4. It is difficult to regulate prostitution due to its underground nature. Legalizing it would give
opportunity to the government to regulate it stringently. Many say it is social stigma and
immoral. Yet it has continued since ancient times. So a regulated legal approach can be
beneficial.
5. The income earned in this profession is termed illegal thus leading to creation of black
money. Legalizing can help bringing in financial regulation also. Legal prostitution can increase
tax collection and help increase revenues of the government.
6. It will also make sure that sex workers keep themselves healthy.
7. We invest lot of resources in prohibiting prostitution. On legalizing we can use those precious
resources to fight human trafficking, child trafficking, distribution of drugs, etc.
No
1. Prostitution leads to objectification of women. This affects status of women in general in
society.
2. Selling ones body for money is unethical and immoral.
3. Sex with multiple partners increases risk of diseases. In case of prostitution there are
chances of bodily harm too, as some clients might be violent. Thus it is not healthy.
4. Prostitution is also seen as an easy way to make money. But it has its own risks and
sometimes these risks can lead to even death.
5. Many a times services of a prostitute are engaged by married men. Thus prostitution can lead
to destroying one's family life.
6. Prostitution can never be a legitimate business. Just by legalizing it we cannot eliminate
crime. Black money will keep on getting created as black money is created when one doesnt
want to pay taxes for the money earned. So legalizing will not solve problems of financial
discrepancies.
7. Legalizing will simply increase the temptation of human trafficking and drug abuse. At least by
banning prostitution there is some deterrent for such crimes.
8. Some actions are just wrong and immoral and we should not try to make them legal just
because people do it and have been doing it. Many people exceed the speed limit on roads but
we do not cancel the limits. We still enforce them. This for the safety of the driver and others in
the society.
It is very debatable issue as to whether we must legalize prostitution. However it must be borne
in mind that human rights are an important part of our civilization and prostitution does not
guarantee human rights to sex workers. The Netherlands has the most progressive legislation in
the field of prostitution. It permitted voluntary prostitution, the idea being to free women from the
tyranny of the underworld of prostitution. Unfortunately the Dutch sex industry has, since
legalization, been infiltrated by violent gangs and the country is now a hub for international
trafficking and drugs gangs. So we can see that even legalization has not helped the women
engaged in prostitution. Many a times women have no option and have to resort to such
professions. By legalizing it we are simply encouraging them. We need to instead find more
innovative ways to tackle this menace of prostitution than simply legalizing it.
Subject Knowledge
1. Subject knowledge will always save the day.
2. EI can get you only little far. It is useful only when stress levels are high. Subject expertise is
universal.
3. In conditions of stability and peace all are calm and at such juncture it is the subject
knowledge that can provide innovation to jump start things.
4. New ideas flow not due to EI but due to experience, expertise and knowledge.
5. Man's inventions and discoveries have not come from emotional intelligence but from
experiments and subject knowledge.
6. Managing emotions may be an important feature when it comes to social life, but in the
present world where development is of prime importance and economy being increasingly
transformed into knowledge economy, it is the subject knowledge that will help get across
barriers.
Emotional Intelligence
1. ''IQ gets you hired, but EQ gets you fired'' or a more positive version being ''IQ gets you hired,
but EQ gets you promoted''.
2. EQ is a better indicator of success in the workplace and is used to identify leaders, good
team players, and people who best work by themselves. Thus one can easily see its importance
if one's aim is to live a successful life.
3. EI is managing oneself. Humans are social animals, which makes EQ a more necessary
component to living a happy and successful life.
4. In stressful environment how we manage ourselves and deliver is what counts. This saves
the day.
5. Business leaders feel that technical expertise alone is not enough for excellence in the
workplace. These leaders all know employees who are technically proficient and even brilliant,
but left a path of destruction behind them because of their emotional ineptitude.
6. People would like to do business with people whom they like and trust even if their IQ is low.
Liking and trust is gained only with high EQ.
7. Not addressing the emotions strain the mind and body. Your emotional intelligence skills
helps make stress more manageable by enabling you to spot and tackle tough situations before
things escalate. Even a genius cannot work efficiently if he doesnt manage his stress levels and
stay calm.
8. Genius with no confidence is at the best a person with average IQ. Thus it is emotional
intelligence which motivates and encourages and brings out the best out of even a genius.
9. They say patience and perseverance pays. Managing emotions like frustration and
maintaining patience and perseverance is what is done by emotional intelligence. Thus it has
been an important part, though unrecognized till now, of all the inventions and discoveries made
by man.
There has to be balance of both these factors. No one thing can replace the other one. Without
a moral compass to act as a guide, emotional intelligence skills are not that useful. One can use
these skills to motivate colleagues or to take advantage of them. Same is true for subject
knowledge where a moral compass guides a person to use the expertise for good or the bad of
society. One must always acknowledge that emotional intelligence may help in problem solving,
but it is the knowledge that leads to real progress. So we must be able to maintain a healthy
balance of both.
The strict steps should be taken not just against Maggi but all the junk food should be evaluated on health
standards and a stringent action should be taken to save the coming generations.
dressing, allegedly to lure men. We surely wouldn''t want this kind of a society where our
daughters would grow up, not do we want our sons to be a part of this kind of low thinking. This
has to stop once and for all.
5. Traditions of most Indian families cite that a girl who is about to meet her prospective in laws
and husband should be dressed in ethnic clothes to make them like her and select her. Is she
worth liking only in ethnic clothes and not in her regular casual clothes which she wears more
often and would continue wearing them in future? Woman must put their foot down on this one
too. Like her the way she is originally rather than expecting her to be a mannequin who would
put on anything and everything that pleases you.
6. If she dresses up too moderately, she is regarded as someone who has no sense of dressing
at all and should hence be subjected to rejections. If she dresses a bit too bold, she is someone
who is solely responsible for generating evil thoughts and ideas in men. It is an unsaid rule that
women have the responsibility of curbing the sexual desires of men who could go wanton and
she would be blamed for it anyways.
7. It is still thought that women dress either to lure male attention or to make other women
envious. Her sexuality and rights to look good for her own sake is regarded a vague concept.
You look good and you feel confident and good about yourself only applies to men if our almostpatriarchal-yet-fighting-for-women rights society is to be believed.
No:
1. Restricting women from wearing some types of dresses is not always about freedom of
dressing or objectifying her. Women these days are truly allowed to dress the way they want.
Society could do the talking for all they want. It doesn''t stop her from wearing what she wants.
But this has its consequences. In a country where most men are obsessed with sex and have it
in their gene to objectify women, pass lewd comments at her, and think of all sorts of ways to
humiliate her, it naturally comes down to women to protect her dignity from these animals.
Freedom here could have a price to pay.
2. In countries where wearing bold clothes is common, men are eventually used to seeing
women in them. The same cannot be said about our country. We have long had the veil system
where women were required to keep their faces covered, forget about sleeveless or short
dresses. Men here are naturally more obsessed with sex and do not understand that dignity lies
in the eyes of the beholder. Tourists in India have been known to undergo a lot of mental and
sexual harassment merely from the eyes of men.
3. It is utter nonsense to say that a woman was raped just because she was wearing
provocative clothes. It is the rapist who should be blamed and punished and not the woman who
should be tormented to prove that she was modest. However, we cannot forget that it is not just
one or a hundred of these kind of men on loose. The entire race of them is out there free to do
what they want. They are untamed animals. When there are untamed lethal animals on lose, the
5. Marriage is about promise of being together in good and bad times. The dowry system makes
it a trade where one party pays the other party for not harassing their daughter. If they fail to
fulfill their greedy demands, the daughter is burnt to death. Only strict laws can stop this kind of
evil practices.
Rahul Gandhi is being projected to be next PM candidate from congress after being
elevated to VP position in last congress chintan baithak. Rahul though yet to be proved
though tested many times is young, full of ideas and present hope to all religions contrary
to Shri Narendra Modi who is considered to be very divisive by lot of political analysts
and is allleged to be responsible by his detractors for Gujarat riots in 2002 due to its inept
handling.
Hence at one end of possible PM candidature is Narendra Modi - the suave politician
with a enviable administrative record but with a divisive personality and alleged blot of
2002 riots and on other end is Rahul Gandhi, the reluctant candidate who has been
imposed from top but is seen by majority of congress party workers as its last hope.
Rahul is young, inexperienced but has politics running in his blood and is not divisive
and is quite neutral in his approach. Will Rahul Gandhi be like Ratan Tata or be an abject
failure.
Years ago, women were required to wear skirts. This isn't a cultural requirement today,
and likely never will be in the future. As time passes, women are given more and more
freedom. The freedom to dress however they want should be a given. After all, men can
do the same, can't they? In trying to end sexism, it seems only fair.
Sales VS Marketing
Many people mistakenly think that selling and marketing are the same - they aren't. You
might already know that the marketing process is broad and includes all of the following:
1.
2.
3.
4.
Promoting the product; spreading the word about why customers should buy it.
5.
Selling and delivering the product into the hands of the customer.
Selling is one activity of the entire marketing process which is nothing but the act of persuading
or influencing a customer to buy (actually exchange something of value for) a product or service.
Marketing activities support sales efforts. Actually, they are usually the most significant force in
stimulating sales. Oftentimes, marketing activities (like the production of marketing materials
and catchy packaging) must occur before a sale can be made; they sometimes follow the sale as
well, to pave the way for future sales and referrals.
Net Neutrality
Advantages
The big telecom companies can provide the ways but dont have any right to direct how the
people should walk on them. They cannot differentiate between the different groups.
Net neutrality has remained a core democratizing tenet of the internet since the time it came
into existence.
Net neutrality protects innovation and if big companies like Google and Netflix could pay to
get exceptional treatment, more bandwidth, faster speeds, the new start-up firms would be at a
disadvantage.
It will also negatively affect freedom of speech. In absence of net neutrality, the big companies
could give priority to TV networks from videos it owns and slow down the signals from its
peers.
Net neutrality supports competitive marketplace and provides chance to every firm, from big
companies to small start-ups to take part in it.
If net was not neutral, Google, Facebook or Zomato would not have been able to reach where
they are today. Curbing netizens right to a neutral net will be a big blow for the budding
entrepreneurs.
Disadvantages
Times have changed. Today YouTube and Netflix clog the pipes with huge amounts of data.
The users download insane amount of software, music and movies illegally. The changes will put
a restriction.
The various companies like Google have created services that allow people to make calls for
free on networks that telecom companies have spent billions to build. Net neutrality is injustice
to these companies.
Net neutrality do not protects innovation instead stifles innovation. If the telecom companies
can charge higher fees to the prime bandwidth hogs, they can also afford to develop advanced
fiber networks that support all forms of new Internet services.
Some level of prioritization or restriction is essential to support the best interest of consumers
as a whole.
Bandwidth is definitely a limited commodity and regulation will help restrict illegal use of the
platform.
Money is sweeter than honey is a common expression which has a special significance
for most people living in todays modern era of industrialization. The global politics of
governance and diplomacy now place more emphasis on artificial factory-based economic
growth than on the traditional natural agriculture-based growth of a country, thus forcing
people to live in such a way that they will not be able to subsist without receiving a
paycheck at the end of the month. That is the propaganda being promotedand to a large
extent, that is todays reality of life.
The recent article entitled Need to Migrate Workers from Agriculture to Services for High
Growth: RBI, which appeared in the Press Trust of India in Mumbai on June 18, 2010
gives credence to this on-going policy in no unclear terms. This trend is a global one which
has been in practice now for many decades. That such an article appeared in a public forum
simply shows how governments see economic development through industrialization as the
norm for one and all.
talks with online markets to get them to reduce discounts, ranging from 20-40%, said three
executives working for online retailers.
Celebrity Endorsing
for
- People like to be associated with good quality brands.
- Brand endorsed by celebrities put less effect on the purchase or selling of a product as
everyone's knows the real picture of it.
- Brand endorsed by celebrities add only a bit of value not to its quality but, to its overall
look so that the product look very good in the market.
- Public has now become smart and they try the products in which they believe.
- People are attracted towards the products use, design and the quality.
Against
- Celebrities attract more public through endorsement and their other acts. The products
endorsed by a celebrity get more popular.
- The publicity remains more effective when the name of the brand is associated with some
celebrity.
- More and more people come to look which products our celebrities are using and they go
for it.
- Association of celebrity with a brand allows it to be more promotable.
- Celebrities can influence the consumer purchasing decision.
In my point of view the celebrity brand endorsement should be avoided to a certain extent.
You should go for the products which you think will work for you. The right choices can be
made not by seeing the celebrity who is associated with the brand but with the quality of
product you are buying.
In some experiences people just leave because the culture of these companies now a days is not that
as it is shown to us. The big building they have made for their own purpose not for us. The high
facilitated grounds are to show to their customers not for us, we are just using according to their
rules. And rules changes according to their need not for employees.
I am also working in MNC and not against these but we should consider before we are going to give a
big part of our life to these. As I have seen that work-life balance is in papers only, not actually.
Make in India
Make in India
Attractive destination for investors- India is basically a service industry which is trying to move its
focus away from the tertiary sector of the economy to the manufacturing sector. Keeping this goal in
mind, 'make in India' campaign was launched to attract more foreign investment by removing obstacles
like the remaining traces of the license raj, fast sanction of projects from the bureaucratic web, etc.
Employment- It will also help to solve the problem of employment needs of our growing population.
Economic boost- On the economic front, it will boost trade and provide linkage with the global supply
chain and will reduce the current account deficit.
Infrastructure development - It can expand the investment in infrastructure development.
Made in India
Paying for technology - But on the other hand, it has many disadvantages too. 'Make in India' will just
import the technology so that India will pay for the technology in terms of licensing cost, up-gradation
cost, etc. Also, India does not have any control on the source of a company's raw material supplies. The
outsourcing company bounds India by contract and does not share its secrets.
Competitive advantage - Another drawback will be, if some competition comes, say from Africa or
south America, where the conditions become suitable for manufacturing, then these companies can shift
their base from India causing a significant number loss of employment.
Emergence of geographical identity brands- Made in India can be an answer to these questions. It
can encourage entrepreneurs to start up their business and be a part of the global skill pool as India lags
behind in home-grown brands like German cars, swiss chocolates and British scotch.
Political reasons - Made in India will provide strategical benefits in terms of defense and nuclear energy
sector which are crucial from the political perspective.
Encouragement of R&D - Finally, India can benefit from technological advances by industrial revolution.
Democracy makes everyone a free bird. Some people especially the politicians make use of this
in the wrong way.
Though it is unfair to say that because of Democracy, corruption is existent, however, the fact
remains that democracy provides equality to everyone that results in people to have their own
aims.
Democracy allows people to choose their leader. The leaders can thus easily buy votes!
Against
Corruption is not a direct result of democracy. It can exist anyway. At the end of the day, it is an
individuals decision to spread corruption or not.
When people are given a choice to their leader, they must think twice before doing so. If they
accept bribe it is not democracy that can be blamed.
To summarizes, corruption in whole should be stopped. Whether it is a direct outcome of anything or not,
it does not matter.
depends upon the organization, the nature of post etc. On a general outlook, which criteria carries more
weightage the degree or the skill?
Degree
- Degree is an authenticate certificate that the person applying for the post is having the knowledge of the
work requirement and has the ability to manage the functioning and justify the post.
- Degree makes a person more confident in his approach and outlook. These things are an essential part
of the personality development.
- Degree can make a person more polite, humble and wiser. This could be in order to take charge of the
job or to climb the success ladder. But these things are difficult to manage without a degree in hand.
- A degree earns respect and social reputation. A person is assessed through his qualifications which is
reflected by his degree.
- Degree earns money and status for its master. The more specialised the degree, the higher the post
and status and higher is the salary package.
Skill
- Every degree holder is not necessarily skilled. It is the skill that helps to achieve the target and not the
degree.
- Skill is an abstract term which cannot be evaluated on the bits of paper. It is a broad spectrum which is
groomed within the individual and nurtured through the repeated practical implications in life.
- It is not the degree but the skill that achieves success. A degree can just earn the job, but it cannot help
to grow further without the skill.
- It is skill which attracts the employers, clients and management which lifts or drops the person. Without
the skill, the person would not be able to catch hold the interest of their superiors and attain success.
- The great people from the history were all skilled people, but they didnt had the certifications for their
knowledge.
ConclusionB
Degree is the theoretical evaluation of an abstract concept which is virtually not possible. It is the
skill that helps the person to grow up both materially / financially and immaterially with respect to
the status, importance, social respect and recognition etc. Degree definitely has its own
importance, as a person need to have some skill in order to achieve the degree. A complete dumb
individual cannot qualify to attain the degree. Hence , we can summarize by saying that the degree
is the first step in the ladder of skills which leads to the success in life.
Against:
Gambling and Betting should be banned as there are many social consequences of it like people
gamble away their family's savings.
Many times criminals are involved in it.
People put all their savings in gambling and lose all of it and in the end suicide. Considering such
cases government should not legalize the gambling in any way.
If betting is legalized then even kids will start betting. Right now middle class people are not
involved in gambling and if it gets legalized then this section of the society will be impacted badly.
There are chances that the whole nation will become gambler.
It is a myth that legalization of sports betting will eliminate match fixing or spot fixing. Because it is
a fact that human greed can never be controlled.
Legalizing of betting or gambling wont work in our system where corruption is at its peak.
In order to make revenue from the game of gambling, few centers for gambling can be made in
tourist places instead of making in legalize in the whole country.
Gambling or betting should remain illegal and more and more strict steps should be taken to check
it.
Secularism should be defined keeping in view the mind-set of the Indian society and not
merely what is stated in the constitution of India
The Indian society is still full of prejudices and bias against particular religious
communities
Caste based discrimination is still widely prevalent in the country and secularism is
also defined from the perspective of caste based discrimination though it is often
overlooked in India
Certain religions outfits do have religious affiliations
Secularism has become just a fancy word it has been grossly misunderstood and
misused by the political leaders of the country
Communal appeasement has become the norm rather than upliftment of all irrespective
of their religion
Political parties still use the ideas of communal appeasement to fake secular credentials
Religious tensions and clashes are still widely prevalent in various parts of the country
and are fuelled by the politicians themselves for their vested interests (give the examples
of Kashmir, North-east India, Bengal etc. and how the state machinery failed to do
anything about the same).
2. Cannot send a notice to ambassadors The court can send a notice to the company which
manufactures the product and not to the ambassadors who promote them. Maggi is sold in various shops,
and most of the times, shop keepers persuade the people to buy it. In such cases, the notice should be
sent to shopkeepers also.
3. Messengers Ambassadors are mere messengers who try to promote a product in the society. They
are not responsible if the company breaks the promise and delivers an unhealthy product.
4. Credibility Credibility of an ambassador is very important. Not every product are fake or unhealthy,
thus, people believe the ambassador and buy the products. People or a company who try to sell
unhealthy products try to take an advantage of the credibility function of the ambassador.
5. FDA should be held responsible - The license to sell a product in India is given by FDA. Only when
this government agency gives license to sell a product in the market does the product come to the
counters. If something has been authorised by the government body, there is no reason for the celebrities
to doubt its authenticity. In such a case, rather than the celebrities, FDA should be held responsible.
Conclusion
Selecting a right ambassador is a crucial part of the marketing strategy. A right person who also knows
how to handle a situation in crisis should be selected as a brand ambassador.
2. Income based reservation will help urban-rural population: India still lives in her villages and
instead of caste based reservation, income based reservation will be more beneficial because people
from rural areas and low income groups will benefit. Even the urban poor need assistance and special
affirmative action programs will be able to ensure their continued upliftment
3. People from high income groups would stop getting undue benefits - Those below the poverty
line and low income groups are the ones that need help. Income based reservation will see to it that
people from high income groups are barred from advantages given that they have already received the
benefits of economic upliftment
4. This will stop the rush to get OBC/SC/ST status: Many castes are making attempts to be classified
as backward to avail the benefits. Consider the Patels or Patidars of Gujarat who are an economically
and politically dominant community. Given that the Patels have worldwide presence as entrepreneurs and
NRIs, it seems ironical that they are demanding caste based reservation for their community.
5. Existing reservation policy has failed: Caste based reservation has failed to assimilate SC and ST
within the mainstream.
6. People from majority communities are facing unemployment too- Lack of jobs despite a model of
development that promises unparalleled growth is a reality in India, regardless of which political party is at
the helm. Over the past few decades, Indias young working population has risen while the number of
jobs have fallen. Caste based reservation in favour of the creamy layer has proved to be discriminatory
for those belonging to the general category. General category students are being denied jobs and
admissions because of the caste based reservation system.
4. Caste based reservation is the best cure for the bigoted caste system: Reservation on the basis
of caste will be beneficial to undo the social dynamics of a bigoted caste system. Including or excluding
castes for reservation based on income level will only lead to the reversion of the dominant upper caste
and create imbalances in society
5. Affirmative action programs are meant to address social inequity: Even in the US, affirmative
action programmes and Equal Opportunity policies are not done away with for the richer class because
doing so will end the representation of race and people for whom the affirmative action programme is
intended. Candidates from minority communities are currently underrepresented in education and
government jobs. Preventing caste based reservation from continuing will only come in the way of
legitimate affirmative action.
6. Reservation provides social inclusion if it caste based: Caste based reservation aims to enable
education and employment representation for social groups that have even been excluded from the same
for many years.
The quality of the products is much better than the products found at the street shops.
Online Shopping
There is no need to search for any physical space to showcase the products. The shopping is not
restricted by area constraints.
The online shopping provides immense comfort to the working people who do not have much time to go
out and shop for the products.
With the advent of online stores it has become easy to buy the products required in day to day life
including groceries.
Online shopping allows the buyers to find the best quality products at the best affordable prices.
Compare the prices and then buy the products.
Online shopping can be done without worrying about the time restrictions or without any location
constraints.
Street shopping
Street shopping is all about the independent shops where shoppers can find unique and innovative stuff.
Malls have more or less the same stuff and same brands.
Street shopping is more about fun when the shoppers can enjoy the real fun of bargaining with the shopkeepers.
The stuff found at street shops is not expensive. They offer the affordable product range that can be
bought by all classes.
Street shopping is more about roaming carelessly having a drink or coffee with friends or enjoying the
street food along with shopping.
Conclusion
All the people are different with their own sets of tastes and preferences. The more options in the form of
street shopping, mall shopping and online shopping has made things much easier for the people. It has
made shopping all more convenient. All the forms have their own set of good and bad points. But the fact
is that they have made shopping real easy in the always running world.
2. Getting all the idle lying gold to be converted into gold coins to be deposited would incur making
charges of the jewelry that usually is a good share of the total price. The reason why so many people
indulge in buying gold jewelries during Diwali (apart from the traditions) is the lower making charges
offered by jewelers. People of every other community and religion prefer buying gold during this festival
which makes it clear that we would not be willing to do away with the heavy making charges that gold
involved during the buying and now converting procedure.
3. Average Indian households are said to have more inherited and purchased gold than bank savings.
Gold is an asset too for these people owing to the fact that there is no taxation on how much gold a
person has stocked in his lockers. Nothing as of now has been said about taxation on this gold monetized
or deposited in banks. There definitely will be taxable limits which would not interest many and for the
scheme to be successful, gold has to be lured out from being dead assets. This is not going to be an easy
task.
4. Involvement of income tax offices that would want to know the source if a person pledges too much of
gold in banks is not a pleasant thought for many and they may not want to risk getting revealed. While
this scheme could appeal to businesses, temples, trusts, banks, organizations, households might not be
cooperative in this and since this scheme is intended to bring out dead assets lying idle in households,
the mission might not be accomplished.
5. Jewelries would have to be melted to check purity of gold at certifies testing centres or Hallmark
centres. If one is not satisfied with the result, they can take home the melted gold. People would usually
have no idea about the purity of gold that has been passed on to them from their ancestors and melting
the same to be disappointed later is something that will get many worried.
Conclusion:
Gold monetization scheme is the need of the hour for India. Given that we have surpassed China in gold
import per year, it would only be wise for people to take advantage of this scheme and monetize their idle
lying gold. For those who are buying gold as asset that would hike prices, this scheme is definitely a
winner. For those who buy gold in advance for marriages of their daughters, this scheme is just what they
could ask for. It is about time we come out of our age old thinking and make use of the schemes that the
government is implementing for a good reason.
- Advertisements offer a wide range of variety for the customers, which give the
customers a lot of choices to choose from.
- It boosts economy by generating revenue; this money is generally of the people
working behind the scenes.
- It would be a violation of freedom of speech and press.
- Banning ads would create unawareness among the people about the new products
that are up for grabs, that might be useful to many.
- Banning TV ads would leave a sore taste as it would violate the right of freedom of
expression.
- Many channels will get closed not being able to meet their cost of production.
- Banning the advertisements may lead to channels not being able to air impartial
content in national interest as they will have to depend on some particular revenue
sources.
In the interest of the free speech, TV commercials should not be banned but they
should be restricted in terms of the contents they show that might influence the
teenagers in a wrong way. To have Freedom of Speech is a good thing but it should
have its limits.
