Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed in my body and
my soul.

John 3:3

The Old Testament books tell story after story of God trying to bring
His chosen people, the Jews, back into connection with Him. He would
find a person who had special talents and then He would put His Spirit
on them to speak to them, lead them, and love them. Then the day
finally came when God was ready to send His own Son to save the
world from sin and make a way for believers to be closely connected to
Him again. Even though they had heard stories about the coming
Messiah, the Jews did not recognize that Jesus was the One they had
been promised and waiting on for hundreds of years.

Nicodemus, a Jewish leader in Israel, had heard and seen the signs and
wonders Jesus did and he wanted to meet Jesus to find out for himself

like it had been in the Old Testament. Through His Son, Jesus, God was
opening up a completely different way of connecting to His people than
