Workshop on
Structural Integrity
Inviting practicing engineers,
researchers and students to lectures by
reputed international faculty on the
theory and practice of Fatigue,
Fracture Mechanics& Failure
Analysis followed by hands-on
exposure to testing practices for
materials characterization

July 2-3, 2016

Indian Institute of Science& BISS Labs
Bengaluru, India

The Indian Structural Integrity Society is pleased to

organize a pre-conference Workshop on Structural
Integrity in conjunction with the first Structural
Integrity Conference and Exhibition, SICE-2016 to be
held at Hotel Le Meridien, Bangalore, July 4-6, 2016.
The objective of the Pre-conference Workshop is to
bring its participants up to date on a variety of
disciplines, all closely related to Structural Integrity.
The Workshop will be conducted at the countrys
premier academic institution, the Indian Institute of
Science, Bengaluru, with lectures delivered by
leading academics and practicing engineers of global
repute from India, USA and Japan. Demonstration of
actual tests with hands on exposure to test
equipment will be performed at BISS Labs, a leading
materials characterization facility with ISO 17025 and
Nadcap accreditation.
The lecture topics and faculty have been selected to
provide a clear understanding of the foundations of
Fatigue, Fracture Mechanics, Creep, Failure Analysis
and assessment of Structural Integrity and to back it
up with hands on exposure to experimental
techniques
used
in
material
property
characterization. Demonstration of software
packages for Structural Integrity Analysis, combined
with test techniques to determine vital constants
required for such analysis makes this Workshop a
unique event.
Participants will be awarded a Certificate of
Participation from the Indian Structural Integrity
Society. Given the limitations of hands-on exposure,
provision is made for only 50 participants, who will be
registered on first come, first served basis. A
nominal Registration Fee of Rs. 4000 is charged with
a special rate of Rs. 1000 only for InSIS members.
For InSIS membership, please visitwww.instint.in.
