Various shots of the streets of Tel-Aviv, with some point of view shots from ins
ide the car. The streets are tree lined and a woman gets out of the car and goes
to a tree which is covered with magazines - Vogue etc. Next we see a girl in a
bikini floating in the waters of the Dead Sea. She gets up and goes ashore and s
howers at the beach side. The waterfall at Ein Geddi's is 1000 feet below sea le
vel. C/U shots of water cascading over rocks. Panning shot over salt flats area
where water gushes out of a pipe at the salt works, to mountains of white salt a
nd a huge mound of brown salts where a pillar of salt echoes the story of Lot's
wife. In the Negev desert, strange pieces of twisted wood stand out against the
desert landscape. There are excavations of some Roman remains. C/U of a half re
vealed mosaic. (#).

The desert blooms, C/U shots of desert flowers with the desert beyond. M/S of a
wooded hillside where the desert has been irrigated,. A man tends plants by spr
aying them. A group of older people at the Jewish National Fund Planting Centre
are seen taking small plants and planting them in the earth. They say prayers, h
olding Jewish scriptures. This is the 'Plant a tree for Israel' campaign. Next
we join a tourist party on a glass bottomed boat trip. Shots of the boat from a
nearby vessel, and of the tourists taking pictures of the fish, and the blue/gre
en view of the seabed with its corals and fish. Brief shot of a man leaning far
back sailing (#).

M/S of a tourist boat sightseeing on the sea of Galilee. M/S of the buildings on
the Mount of Beatitudes. L/S Tiberius / M/S exterior of a modern hotel. M/S of
local hot springs - rocks with water rushing over and steam rising up.

Next we see a fisherman dressed in clothes as in biblical times, standing in wat

er, casting a circular net into the lake waters. He catches a fish and pulls it
from the net. Next the story cuts to fish laid out in a pan, but the camera pull
s back to reveal a smart restaurant on a balcony. The waiter brings a fish to th
e chef who cooks the fish at the table side. M/S girl lying on beach with palm t
ree, rather stony, and she dabbles her toes in the water. Two women run into the
water from a palm tree lined beach (#).

L/S Jerusalem and its buildings, a group of school children look at a model of t
he city on a hilltop over looking the city. M/S strange looking domed building -

'The Shrine of the Book' - interior showing the air conditioned area where the
Dead Sea Scrolls are kept encased in glass panels.
