Managing the Monitoring of the GGSN9811

About This Chapter

The monitoring management is used in daily maintenance. You can monitor the CPU usage of
the GGSN9811 by monitoring the CPU usages of the boards, which is significant for
performance analysis.
7.1 Monitoring CPU Usage
This part describes how to monitor the usage of a specified CPU.
7.2 Browsing CPU Monitoring Results Offline
You can browse the CPU monitoring results offline through the Monitor Viewer. The CPU
monitoring results are saved in .mrf file.

7.1 Monitoring CPU Usage

This part describes how to monitor the usage of a specified CPU.
7.1.1 Querying CPU Usage
This part describes how to query the realtime CPU usage.
7.1.2 Adding/Deleting Monitoring Tasks of CPU Usage
You can query the CPU usages of multiple boards through the local maintenance terminal
(LMT); however, a maximum of 10 tasks can be monitored at one time.
7.1.3 Saving Monitoring Results
This part describes how to save the monitoring data regarding the CPU usage as a file.

7.1.1 Querying CPU Usage

This part describes how to query the realtime CPU usage.

Prerequisite
l

The local maintenance terminal (LMT) is started.

The user logs in to the GGSN9811 as an operator with realtime monitoring authority.

The monitored board is in position and runs at normal level.

Procedure
Step 1 Select Maintenance in Navigation Tree of the LMT.
Step 2 Click Service > Common Monitoring. Then, double-click CPU Usage. The Add Tasks dialog
