Museum of Pedestrians
aims to approach the pulseof thecontemporarycity
in a creative manner. Envisaging social and cultural projects (
participative art,
documentary film with the participation of students, teachers, artists and local
activists,regenerationprojects oftheunused historicalpatrimony,urbanmapping
with sensitivity at mobility, locative and gender issues, expositions focused on
symbolic decolonization, residency for artists, interactive street art installations,
ethnographic and journalistic investigations on the urban imaginarium in the
postsocialist popular culture, and so on)
, the intentions of our museum are to
stimulate and promote the creative potential of the young generation which
animates the EastEuropean city which received in 2015 the title of
European
YouthCapital
,
ClujNapoca.
marketing,
journalism,
public
administration, etc.) in a
multidisciplinary approach
of
qualitative urban research
. Starting from the
premise that the social sciences have themissionofconsolidatingthe
participativedemocracy
,
with an interest in public business but also in representing and taking in consideration the
collective interests, I believe that
public anthropology has the chance of becomingafacilitator
between
citizens and the
state authorities
, especially when there is a profound lack of trust in
the
efficiency of the state authorities.
Finally, it becomes clear the fact thatthepublicinformal
opinions
represents a primary source of informationconcerningthe
quotidian, a fieldwork
that
needstobequalitativelyexplored,especiallyconcerningsociourbanpolicy.
