About Israel
Israel is a densely-populated country on the eastern shore of the
Mediterranean Sea, it is only the state in the world with a
majority Jewish population. It has been locked in conflict with
the Palestinians and its Arab neighbors. In 1948 it declares its
independence but still some borders are remain in dispute.

About Palestine
Palestine was a common name used until 1948 to describe the geographic
region between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. After World
War I, Palestine was administered by the United Kingdom. The modern
history of Palestine begins with the termination of the British Mandate, the
Partition of Palestine and the creation of Israel, and the ensuing IsraeliPalestinian conflict.

Solution
Some commentators advocate a one state solution, in which Jews
and Arabs would be joined in one state with all inhabitants having
the citizenship called it Israeli or Palestinian.
The second Solution is favored by much of the world that is the two
state solution. But this solution is not much better than one state
and almost as unacceptable to those who support the welfare and
future of the Jewish state. So if those two countries does not seat
together to resolve this dispute, then it is not possible to reach on
any solution.

Destruction
In a country where access to safe drinking
water was already one of the lowest in the
world, after 23 days of bombardment more
than half the water and sanitation
infrastructure has been destroyed.
Around 1,200,000 people have no access
to safe drinking water.

For the sake of children, all sides to this conflict must come to their
senses, permit humanitarian workers to aid those in need, and agree
to end these attacks. Now, before more innocent lives are lost
including the most innocent of all, the very young. Anthony Lake,

There has never been a better opportunity for doing this than now. The
U.S.led Allied victory in the Gulf, the clear signal that Israel has
sent regarding its rejection of an international conference or simple
separation of the West Bank and Gaza from its domain, and the new
spirit of compromise, however murky it may be, to be found among
the
Palestinians, offer previously unparalleled opportunities for moving ahead.
Let us hope that
there will be sufficiently imaginative statesmanship among all of the parties
to do so.
