and Attitudes Toward School Use.Computers in the Schools, 31(3), 233250.

INTRODUCTION
Research Questions (if research questions are not specifically mentioned, what is
the theoretical background or overarching theme):
This study has three questions to answer the following questions:
1. What is the impact of the training process on school administrators use
of iPads for administrative tasks and personal organization in their professional
duties?
2. What is the impact of the training process on school administrators beliefs
regarding how teachers should use iPads in the classroom?
3. Are there any differences in school administrators survey responses based
on gender, age, years of experience in school administration and education,
highest degree attained, school classification, or school size?

Purpose of the research:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of receiving iPad training on
school administrators attitudes towards iPad use in their professional lives and in the
classroom by teachers.
METHODOLOGY
What is the methodology for the research or approach used to understand the
issue? Provide information regarding the following:

Participants:
Subjects were recruited from elementary and secondary school administrators (

principals and assistant principals) in one of the largest public charter school
systems in a southwestern state. The numbers of participants were 51.
Procedures:
Participants were conducted by email, and asked to complete consent form for
this study. Then they are given a pre survey which is about a training session on
the effective use of iPads for administrative tasks and personal organization,
specially designed resources expanding the topics covered in the training
session, on-going support, and a post-survey. At the end a post survey are given
to participants. This post survey was about questions intended to measure selfreported improvements in certain tasks after completing the training, as well as
items regarding the evaluation of training session and resources provided to
school administrators during the study.
Data Collection Methods/Data Source:
Web based questionnaires. In this study, online surveys are used by participants.
Data Analysis:
Paired sample t-test data analysis was used for this study to see the difference
between pre and post surveys. A one-way Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) test was
also used to see if there were any differences in school administrators
responses by gender, age, years of experience in school administration and
education, highest degree attained, school classification, and school size. And
also, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used to
conduct the data analysis.
RESULTS
Findings or Results (or main points of the article):

The paired sample t-test showed that the mean score on the post-survey was
4.27 and the mean score on the pre-survey was 3.73. The mean score on the
post-survey was significantly greater than the mean score on the pre-survey.
These results show that the overall training process in this study had a
statistically significant effect on participants beliefs about the effectiveness of
iPads as a tool for administrative tasks and personal organization. There were no
significant differences when it is used to see difference between in school
administrators responses by gender, age, years of experience in school
administration and education, highest degree attained, school classification, and
school size.
DISCUSSIONS

Conclusions/Implications (for your profession):

According to this study, school administrators thought that iPads were effective tools for
administrative tasks and personal organization. After completing the training process,
admins were so sure about this idea.
REFLECTIONS
Students Reflections (changes to your understanding; implications for your
school/work):
To be able to use technology is very important in any area. Education should be very
open to that. Using technology will make life easier in also education area. I have the
same idea with the results of this study. IPads will have good effect for administrative
tasks and personal organization. The important thing for that is to be able train people
according to their work.
