SKYLINE: Mobile And DTH Recharge

Abstract:-
Mobile and DTH Recharge services are the most common services that are
available at the every 4th and 5th retail shop. To recharge mobile phones of
various service provider.

They have to maintain individual connection for each and every mobile
company. And they need to maintain different handsets for different services
providers companies. Some of them have recharge coupons, Recharge
coupons are available for both mobile and DTH services, So Retailer have a
stress to maintain all these things.

To avoid this kind of problems we are developing a web-based application

that is used to recharge the mobile phones and DTH Activation services.
This application will provide a unique and compact solution to the retailer
for recharge the mobile phones and DTH service providers, For this the
retailer has to register itself an authorized agency for this purpose like
(TRAI) after this registration they will provided an unique user Id and after
they can start their job using this given user identification.

Retailer can recharge the customers mobile. There is no need of customer

presence. Customer can be where so ever.

This Application must store the individual retailer database that is helpful
for the retailer to maintain its day to day record of billing.

By the use of this application the retailer can provide its relative service to
the customer from anywhere. And the most important things which are
retailer will not have to maintain various connections and mobile handsets.
They can service the customers by the present internet connection with pc
and further this application can be expanded to mobile internet, also.

Adoption of this application is may be little bit expensive then the present
scenario but facilities provided by this application worth it.

2. System Analysis

MCA 2008-2011 8
SKYLINE: Mobile And DTH Recharge

2. 1. Introduction:-
The Mobile and DTH Recharge application is the application which is useful
for the retailer, they used to recharge the mobile phone by easy recharge and
recharge coupon as well as DTH service. This application provides a web
environment to the retailer for the regular recharge service, using this retailer
can serve its services to the customer.

To get this facility and having this proposed compact solution retailer have
to register itself with government authorized agency like TRAI.

This System can intimate all the three modes of the main system such as
customer, service Providers Company and Regulatory Authority (TRAI) by
sending a SMS regarding to the service facilitated. Retailers have to spend
some more buds to get this dynamic system.

2. 2. Disadvantages of existing current system

The present system is facing following problems:-

(1) Retailers have to carry different recharge coupons of several mobile

companies.
(2) Retailers have to get various mobile connections of different mobile
companies and respectively have to maintain different handsets too.
(3) Retailers must have to credit his account as prepaid service
irrespective to the fact that he/she may or may not sell it to the
customers, because it is not in its control.
(4) In reference of online banking there is facility provided by the banks
to recharge mobile from ATM machine by following required steps,
in this solution customer must have ATM card.
(5) In reference to internet banking mobile and DTH facility, its
providing on intranet the procedure which is followed needs a bank
account.
(6) In all alternative facility with concerned to the proposed system, there
is not any customer care service which can here them, so over system
directly calibrated with RA so that will responsive to the RA.

MCA 2008-2011 9
SKYLINE: Mobile And DTH Recharge
2. 3. Recognition of Need
As we go for recharge our Mobile and DTH connection we go for retailer
shop and retailer gives us some options for recharge like recharge coupons,
e-top ups, for e-top up recharging users must have to carry different type of
mobile connection of various companies and as well as mobile hand sets.
This whole procedure seems very exhausting process.

Thus, we need automated software which must reliable and serve high
performance with simple user interface to retailers and service providers. We
need software solution for this to decrease burden on both service provider
and retailers in terms of limit allocation, automation, speed and compactness
and give them feel of unique system which provides different services.

2. 4. Proposed Solution
As consider the recognized of needs the proposed system will give all
required automated solution with full compactness that will provide easy
user interface. We will develop software which provides a compact solution
for above all recognized problem with the existing system. For this solution
we establish centre control that will guide and control all retailers concerned
with the proposed system i.e. mobile recharging, DTH recharging etc.

By using proposed software the recharging of Mobile Phones and DTH are
online. So, It will helpful to reduce papers i.e. RCV. Retailer don't have to
maintain any mobile connection for recharge and by this software user get
compact solution for provide basic service to ultimate customers on just a
Few click.

2. 5. Advantages of Proposed System
The proposed system has following advantages against the existing system:-

(1) Retailers dont have to contain different type of recharge RCVs.

(2) Retailers dont have to get various mobile connections of

different mobile companies and respectively have to maintain
different handsets.

(3) Retailers dont have to credit his account as prepaid service

irrespective to the fact that he/she may or may not sell it to the
customers, because it is not in its control.

(4) Customer does not need to have any bank account for recharging
in reference of online banking, he just have to go retail shop and
say for recharge.

(5) Complaint and feedback system is incorporated with the

proposed system which will help to improve system in future
and maintenance purpose.

MCA 2008-2011 11
SKYLINE: Mobile And DTH Recharge
2. 6. Feasibility Study
After Considering all the User Requirements and identification of System
Objectives, Feasibility Study is carried out that is Concerned with assessing
whether the System is useful to business or not and Whether system meets
performance standards or not.
Any System Performance in judged under 3 steps:-
Identification of Specific system Objectives

Constraints Identification with Limitations regarding towards overall

system solution and identifying up to which extend system contributes
to business.

Description of outputs as required by the potential users.

There are three types of feasibility study considerations:-

1. Economical Feasibility

The proposed system requires one-time investment that is only

initial capital cost:
Hardware Cost

Software installation cost

Software Development Cost

Software Deployment Cost

Intranet Networking Cost

However, Proposed System May incur equipment operational
cost such as:
Annual Registration fee imposed by Regulatory Authority

Maintenance Cost

MCA 2008-2011 12
SKYLINE: Mobile And DTH Recharge

2. Technical Feasibility

Technical Feasibility Considerations Concerned with Following

Situation:-
Whether the current/existing system compatible enough to
accommodate and adopt technical enhancements proposed by the
candidate system.

Hardware, software repairs and availability, maintenance in case of

damage or wear-tear.

In our project Mobile and DTH Recharge via intranet we propose

following software and hardware:-
Software Requirements:-

Asp.Net Framework

Ms-Access or Ms- SQL Database

Microsoft windows XP(os) or above

Intranet Supported HTTP/FTP Compatible Software

Hardware Requirements:-

For Server:-

256 Mb RAM (512 Recommended)

40 GB Hard disk

For Users or Retailers:-

128 Kb ROM for System Classes

Kb RAM for Application Classes

MCA 2008-2011 13
SKYLINE: Mobile And DTH Recharge

3. Behavioral Feasibility

People always initially resist for changes. Any user finds uneasy to adopt
and switch over to new system for existing system due to lack of
computer knowledge, inertia and wrong assumptions for automated
systems.
The Proposed System is quite :-
User Friendly

Interactive

Gives look and feel of technical standards

Differentiate from rivalries in terms of technical advancement

User need not to require any profound technical knowledge or skills to

use system.

By the all above discussions and considerations we conclude that

proposed system is required of time, contributes to business in terms of
cost, technical advances the existing system.
