On July 12, 2010, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Denver Police received a call regarding a
shooting at 1824 E. 36th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a male victim
suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The other victim was a female in her early
twenties. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. 

This crime is being investigated as a homicide. Through the investigation, detectives have
learned the victims were in front of the residence when two or more males approached
them. The males began shooting at the victims. The male victim fled on foot and called
police. He returned to the scene and was transported to the hospital. The female victim’s
identity is pending positive identification by the Office of the Medical Examiner and
notification of her next of kin.
