Assignment –Project Proposal

Instructions on Assessment:

The objective of this assignment is to produce a project proposal, in the form provided
that will form the basis for your project. Note that this proposal does not mean that
you have to produce your project in exactly the way the proposal describes – the
proposal may be refined with your lecturer and may need to change anyway as you
begin the actual project itself.

Proposal

1. Group leaders and group members.

This includes the detail of the each and every member including group leader.
E.g., role allocation (who is reporting who), co-ordination,

2. Business name (products or services)

3. Aims and Objectives

The aim is to identify key issue(s), problem(s) or question(s) to be addressed
in your project. What you need to achieve (e.g. fulfil a need, profit)

4. Description of the complete business

 Define industry.
 Products or services.
 Suppliers
 Types of Operations, i.e. wholesale, retail, food service,
manufacturing or service oriented
 Competitors or Potential competitors.
 Sources of funding.
 State the business is new or already established.
 Sources of information: Primary and secondary information
(market research)

The nature of the business presented in this proposal will not be changed until
and unless a genuine reason given.
