On October 31, 2009, Denver Police Officers responded to 810 S. Tejon on a report of an
aggravated assault. The victim told officers that her husband, Artuto Talamantes (aka
Arturo Talamantes-Chavira) had seriously assaulted her, put her in the trunk of is car,
then left her “for dead” near First Avenue and Clay Street.

An arrest warrant was issued for Talamantes, and the Denver District Attorney accepted
the case, charging Talamantes with:

Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the Second Degree

Assault in the First Degree
Second Degree Kidnapping

On November 4, 2009, a $750,000 bond was set. Denver Police investigators have been
actively searching for him, in cooperation with local Texas and Federal authorities ever
since. Mr. Talamantes was listed on the 2010 Fifty Most Wanted list earlier this year.

On July 21, 2010, Mr. Talamantes was arrested at the El

Paso, Texas / Mexican border.
