INTRODUCTION:

Indonesia is prone to seismic upheaval because of its proximity to the "Ring of Fire", an area around the Pacific Ocean Basin where tectonic plates intersected , ... ith each other and Volcanoes Eruption came into existence.

TIME:

Earth Quake which is called TSUNAMI, came nearly at 6:35 A.M. close to SUMATRA Island of' Indonesia in the deep Indian Ocean.

EPICENTRE OF TSUNAMI:

Its epicentre was Achin in Sumatra Island. SPEED:

Its speed on the Richter Scale was 9.0 .

When volcanoes eruption came into existence, destroyer sea \ aves rose upward and moved rapidly in deep ocean reaching speeds of upto 500 km/h. As these waves reached near the land of Sumatra, their speed has slow about 45 km/h but these waves rose upward increasing in height and entered the coastal areas or Sumatra and destroyed the all lands.

Many small vallages has cornpeletely abolished 011 the face of the earth. Geologists and Scientists are th inking that some more Earth Quakes would be come. Deaths in small Island of Banda Aceh can be more than 1.60,000 and at least 90,000 people dead in Achin.

Maldives has great affcted by TSUNAMI as comparison other countries except Indonesia, Sri- Lanka and India. When sea waves attacked the Maldives, their speed was about 40 to 45 kill/h. Because of their strong speed and heights, they destroyed the about 200 Islands of Maldives.

When volcanoes eruption carne into being, sea waves rose upward and travelled rapidly towards thailand when these waves reached neal' Thailand, theisheight has more increased and strong waves destroyed the Thailand coastal areas and other small towns has cornpeletely destroyed.

Phuket which is a (own of southern coastal area of Thailand, has demolished. Thai authorities report at least 1,300 people dead in Thailand.

Malaysia also affected by TSUNAMI and it destroyed the Malaysian coastal lands. A large number of people dead in this earth quake.
