Ref: Drug arrest in Opp area

On 07 [27/2010 Officer with the Opp Police Department received an


anonymous tip about a possible drug transaction taking place on Lee 5t. in
Opp, AL. Officer set up surveillance on the residence. A short time later Agent
David Harrell stopped a vehicle driven by Albert Dewayne Bonam. During the
stop Agent Harrell recovered items that were said to be involved in the drug
transaction. Officer then went to the residence on Lee St. and recovered an
amount of Crack Cocaine. The information received from the anonymous caller
and the evidence recovered led to the arrest of Albert Dewayne Bonam, 36 years
of age, of Andalusia, AI. Bonam is charged with Distribution of a Controlled
Substance with a $100,000 bond. Bonam also has a Probation Violation charge.
Also arrested was Jonathan Mullins, 25 years of age, of Opp, AI. Mullins was a
passenger in the vehicle with Bonam and is charged with Distribution of a
Controlled Substance with a $100,000 bond.

In a separate incident on this date a phone call was made to Douglas


Womack. Womack agreed to bring an amount of Crack Cocaine and Marihuana
to the residence on Lee St. When Womack arrived he had Otto Henderson in the
vehicle with him. Both subjects were taken into custody in the yard. There was
an amount of Crack Cocaine and Marihuana found in the vehicle. Douglas
Womack, 26 years of age, of Opp, AI. was arrested and charged with Attempted
Distribution of a ControJled Substance with a $100,000 bond and a Probation
Violation. Otto Henderson, 27 years of age, of Opp, AI. was arrested and
charged with Attempted Distribution of a Controlled Substance with a $100,000
bond.

The Drug Task Force was like to thank the Officers of the Opp Police
Department and Officers of the Alabama Beverage Control Board for their
assistance. We like to encourage the citizens of Covington County to continue

to call us with tips, stated Agent Paul Hudson. These tips help us to build solid
cases against the drug dealers in our county and to be able to prosecute the
dealers and get them off the streets away from our kids.
