Information Sheet

Competition related:
 Date of competition: 30th October 2010
 Time of competition: 11 am to 11.30 am
 Competition Center: Participating school
 Criteria for a competition center: 15 participants (minimum) from each category. If
it is less, please get in touch with our representatives
 Last date for collecting participation fee: 31st August 2010
 Last date for schools to send data sheet to Genius Kidz along with payment: 10th
September 2010
 Last date for schools to email participants’ details to Genius Kidz: 10th October
2010
 Announcement of results: 2nd week of December 2010
 Prize distribution function: 2nd week of January 2011

Others:
 Abacus or any other calculating device will not be permitted for use
during the competition
 Format of the spreadsheet to fill in participants’ details & the data sheet are

 Three days before the competition, competition papers will be sent to the school in
a sealed packet. The school will conduct the competition and send the papers back
to us immediately after the competition in a sealed envelope.
 Evaluation of all competition papers (across India) will happen centrally at
Bangalore – after which, winner & runner-up from each category will be decided at
the school level, the district level, the state level & the national level.
 By the third week of December 2010, each participating school will receive the
result sheet, the certificates & prizes for six students (one winner & one runner-up
from each category at the school level), a participation certificate for every
participant, a booklet on arithmetic (titled “arithmeTRIX”) for every participant.
These prizes, certificates, participation certificates & books will be distributed in
the school, preferably during the school assembly.
 The competition (written – type) will contain portions of arithmetic from students’
respective academic syllabus, irrespective of the board the school is affiliated with.
 Schools unable to conduct the exam on the prescribed date will not be allowed any
revised date or refund and will have to take total responsibility for the non-conduct
of the exam
 The decision of the jury is final in the matter of awards and the decision of the
examination board is final in the matter of evaluation. No correspondence will be
entertained with respect to awards, reconsideration of marks and answer papers
will not be returned to the participant or school
