Meaning of open source.


-Open-source software (OSS) is computer software that is available in source code form for
which the source code and certain other rights normally reserved for copyright holders are
provided under a software license that permits users to study, change and improve the software.

- An operating software OS is software consisting of programs and data, that run on

a. Name of open source OS : GOOGLE CRHOME OS


Explain : Chrome is an operating system based on Linux kernel designed by
Google. It is technically only a web browser with no application, relies
on internet application to complete tasks such as word processing and
media viewing.

b. Name of open source OS : MAC OS X ( SNOW LEOPARD)


Explain : MAC OS X is a line of partially proprietary graphical operating systems
developed, marketed, and sold by Apple Inc.

values or formulas.
