Analysis

1. What is the shape of the graph?

In the first graph the shape of the line starts from the bottom then
increases as the length is increased while in the second graph the
opposite is being illustrated.
2. Was there an increasing or decreasing trend?
In the first graph an increasing trend was observed while in the second
graph a decreasing trend was illustrated.
3. Is the increase or decrease fast or slow?
The increase of the first graph and the decrease of the second graph is
moderately fast.

III. Conclusion

1. Does the period of a simple pendulum depend on the mass of

the pendulum bob?
As the weight of the pendulum bob is increased the slower it takes for
the pendulum to make a full cycle. We found out that the weight does
affect the speed of the pendulum; however, it is not the only factor
that can affect the pendulum’s speed.
2. Does the period of a simple pendulum depend on the length of
the pendulum bob?
Yes. The length and weight of the pendulum bob are what affects how
much time it takes for it to make a complete cycle. These two factors
control the speed and number of periods of the pendulum.
