Banks have consistently increased their product offerings with a variety of schemes and services. Banking as we see it today is completely different from how our parents probably knew it. No more inconsiderate clerks and piles of papers and red tape. Now things are much more systematic and customer-centric, with customer relationship managers designated to jump to your needs rather than you to their lunch timings! Increasingly, banking customers have been basing their decisions on market perceptions. Thus, these market perceptions need to be monitored carefully. The use of media in influencing these market perceptions is increasing greatly. Welcome to ‘Bank on Us’, the event which seeks to analyze media usage by banks and their branding activities. THE EVENT Bank on Us will be conducted over two stages. Stage | is an online submission. The teams shortlisted at the end of Stage I will be invited to the MICA campus during MICANVAS 2010 for stage 2 to conduct the branch audit and submit their final reports on the basis of which the winners will be declared. STAGE 1 Teams will be required to send a 1000 word report/executive summary on the different media used by public sector banks across India and their relevance. The report must also rate each of the media based on the return of investment and must contain ~ Reach of each media - Impact on the urban customer - Emerging media platforms The entries must be mailed by 11:59 PM on the 18th of October 2010 at bankonus.micanvas2010@gmail.com. A confirmation mail will be sent out within 24 hours. 6 teams will be shortlisted on the basis of Stage I entries and will move to Stage II. The details of Stage 2 will be intimated to the shortlisted participants. GUIDELINES Font Details: Times New Roman, 12 point, 1.5 line spacing Word Limit: 1000 words The names of all deliverables should follow the format Bank on us__ The subject of the mail should be of the format Bank on Us__ The mail should contain the following details of the team members o Name o Institute o Program o Email address o Telephone number (with city code) The names of the participants, college name etc. should be mentioned only on the cover page and nowhere else in the entire document. PRIZES 1st Prize :% 30,000 cash + Goodies worth? 5,000 2nd Prize : 20,000 cash + Goodies worth @ 5,000 « The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all participants + All intellectual property rights of the event will belong to SBI TEAMS. « Ateam should compulsorily consist of 4 members each. There is no limit to the number of entries that can be received from a particular institute or university. Competition is open to both first and second year MBA students as well as working Professionals. One person cannot be a part of more than one team. Each team can submit only one entry for the competition.
