MEG WHITMAN LAUNCHES CHINESE‐LANGUAGE TELEVISION AD CAMPAIGN
CUPERTINO
– The Meg Whitman for Governor Campaign launched a television ad in Mandarin and
Cantonese as part of a comprehensive outreach effort to California's Asian American community.
The ad, which underscores why Meg is the best candidate to turn California around, will be airing in
the Los Angeles and San Francisco media markets.
In the ad, the announcer says, "Meg Whitman understands our community. She knows
entrepreneurship, high-tech jobs and education are the keys to our future."
Meg hopes the campaign's outreach motivates Asian Americans to come together to change
California for the better.
In addition, the campaign has mailed information on Meg's plan to create jobs and fix our schools
in Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean to approximately 126,000 households.
The mail pieces encourage Asian Americans to visit Meg's website, www.MegWhitman.com, to get a
copy of her plan.
Announcer: Meg Whitman understands our community. She knows entrepreneurship, high-tech
jobs and education are the keys to our future. She was a success at eBay, taking it from 30 people
to 15,000. She can help California too.
She'll get our economy moving with less taxes and red tape on small business. Control wasteful
spending. Cut regulation. And invest in schools. More money in the classroom, help for higher
education.
