WATER ACT 1974
1.An Act to provide for the
prevention and control of water
pollution and the maintaining or
restoring of wholesomeness of
water.
2.Water Act is enacted with the
aim of prevention and control
of-water Pollution in
India.Pollutionmeans
contamination of water or such
alteration of the Physical, Chemical
or Biological properties of water
orsuch discharge of any sewage or

60db where as 55and 45
dB are prescribed for
commercial,residential
and silence zones
Factory act 1948
● The qualifications and
experience of the persons
employed in such institution
and facilities available therein,
with regard to the conduct of
such test, examinations and
inspections, and more than
one person or institution can
be recognised as a competent
person in relation to a factory.

has completed his eighteenth
year of age;
