JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager


DEPARTMENT: Quality Cell

3.0 DUTIES AND  Assist in general management of Quality Department services


RESPONSIBILITIES: along with the Chief quality Officer and Quality Manager.
 Review departmental policies and procedures in associate with
the concerned departmental HODs.
 Undertakes overall management responsibilities in the absence
of the Quality Manager.
 Conduct internal audit and provide appropriate feedback to the
Chief Quality Officer and Quality Manager.
 Provides support to the Quality Manager and Chief Quality
Officer in the design, development and implementation of
Quality plan and strategies, ensuring the efficient and effective
utilization of the department resources.
 Review and monitor data analysis of all quality indicators for
each department.
 Co-ordinates the planning, design and implementation of
Continuous Quality Improvement projects, so as to
systematically evaluate and meet patient care needs.
 Coordinate training programmes relevant to Quality
management in health care.
 Strive to maintain NABH, JCI and other certification
requirements.
 Maintain and review departmental policies, objective and
procedures in associate with the Quality Manager and Chief
Quality Officer.
 Assume any other responsibilities as delegated by the Chief
quality officer, Chief Operating Officer or Quality Manager.
 Execute the responsibilities maintaining high level of ethical,
moral and professional standards.

 Ensure that the overall activities in the department meet the


requirements of quality management, health and safety, legal
stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
 Represent the department in hospital committees in the absence
of the Quality Manager and when requested otherwise.
 Strive to keep up to date with the latest developments in the field
of health care quality and hospital administration.
