THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF MICANOPY AREA CHARTER SCHOOL MINUTES OF

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

October 11, 2010

The Board of Directors of Micanopy Area Charter School met at 6:00 pm in the Landry Building at
Micanopy Area Cooperative School, Micanopy, FL. Present were Jim Walkup, Beth Allerton, and John
Wilkerson. Robert Cox was absent, excused, and submitted proxy vote for approval of the agenda and
minutes as posted. John Eubanks was absent and unexcused.

The meeting was called to order at 6:04 by Beth Allerton.

Moved to adopt the agenda for the meeting of October 11, 2010.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by J. Walkup Seconded by J. Wilkerson

Moved to approve minutes of Board Meeting for September 13,

2010

Upon Vote: Motion passed 4-0.

CONSENT AGENDA Approved School Improvement Plan

ITEMS OF DISCUSSION First Reading of Student Handbook

Motion by J Walkup Seconded by B. Allerton

Moved to approve change to Parent/Student Handbook as posted

with the addition of the following paragraph to page four and eight.

Parents are encouraged to notify the school immediately if they

will be unable to pick up student by the time designated in the
Parent/Student Handbook.
