SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
OXFORD, CONNECTICUT
The Oxford Public Schools serve 2,200 students Pre-K-12 in four sites: Quaker Farms
School, grades Pre-K-2; Oxford Center School, grades 3-5; Great Oak Middle School,
grades 6-8; and Oxford High School, grades 9-12. Oxford High School is a new state-of-
the-art facility that graduated its first class in 2010. The district budget is $25,415,475.
There are 173 certified staff and 98 other employees for a total of 271 staff members.
The Oxford Board of Education is seeking an educational leader with the highest level of
professional integrity who demonstrates knowledge and success in fiscal and management
areas, has strong administrative skills, and experience in curriculum development,
educational technology and professional development. The successful candidate must
possess outstanding communication skills, demonstrate transparency and inclusiveness in
their leadership style and have the ability to take the district to the next level of educational
excellence. The new superintendent will be a “hands on” administrator who will be involved
in all aspects of the educational life of Oxford.
The Oxford Board of Education is offering a multi-year contract with a regionally competitive
salary and comprehensive benefits package. The compensation package will be
determined by the background and experience of the successful candidate.
