Zoo Board and Committee Meetings - Access and Deputations

As you are aware, the Toronto Zoo Board & Committee meeting schedule and
agendas are posted on the Toronto Zoo website at:
http://torontozoo.com/ExploretheZoo/Board.asp.

The Board of Management meeting agendas and reports are posted on the City of
Toronto website at http://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/2010/agendas/zb.htm. Please
refer to these links.

If you wish to give a deputation at a Board of Management meeting, your


request must be made in writing by letter, e-mail or fax, addressed to the
Secretary, Board of Management of the Toronto Zoo. The Secretary to the Board
is Ms. Ros Dyers of the City Clerks Office. Ms. Nicole Singh, the Executive
Assistant to the CEO, will deal with deputation requests for the various
Committee meetings. The request must include a written outline of the
deputation.

For matters on the agenda, notice shall be received no later than three
business days preceding the date and time of the meeting. However, please be
advised that for matters on the agenda the Chair in consultation with the CEO
may decide to hear the presentation, put the matter before the Board as a
written communication or direct the CEO to respond in writing and not put the
matter before the Board.

For matters not on the agenda the Chair in consultation with the CEO may
decide to schedule the presentation on the agenda of a future meeting, put the
matter before the Board as a written communication or direct the CEO to
respond in writing and not put the matter before the Board.

Deputation re Citizens Advisory Committee

On 2010-06-03 you made a deputation to the Zoo Board about establishing a


Citizens Advisory Committee. In accordance with the procedures of the Board
(Section 26, By-law 1-2009), this item can not be brought forward again for 12
months, unless the CEO recommends that the item be re-opened. I am aware the
procedures have already been explained to you in an e-mail from Ros Dyers on
2010-10-19.

I have discussed this matter with Councillor Cho, Chair of the Board, and we
are not re-opening this item. Therefore, the next opportunity to request to
address the Board on this matter is June 2011.
