 The word is derived from Greek word “BIOS” and
“METRICS” which mean life and measurement respt.
 Biometrics technologies measures a particular set of
person’s vital statistics in order to determine identity.
 Biometrics is the high technology sector refers to a
particular class of identification technologies.
 The traits includes Fingerprints, Retina and Iris patterns
and Social characteristics.
