SUMMARY

The activity of scientific information represents an integrant part of scientific research.

Information is the most important resource, which engages the other components. Information
receives particulars valences in the universitary medium. In this way, it is assured the
continuous development of science and its concept of universality. Through the developement
of the subject of this essay, I tried to render the optimal frame in order to offer the best quality
services, universitary information and documentation, optimize the processes and the usage
of resources and investments in a rational way.
The original chapters of the essay retrieve the presentation of the actual phase of the
universitary technology of information , the SWOT analysis concerning the universitary
activity of information and documentation, the comparative analysis of those technologies
after the structure model of flexible systems; comparative study between the softs integrated
by the library, case study concerning designing a searching driver used in the documentary
research and information.

In the end of the phd. Thessis are presented the general conclusions, which are formulated
based on investigations, the elements of originality of the phd thessis, development directions
of future research specific to approached field and a synthesis of the valorification methods of
research results
