ABSTRAK
ABSTRACT
Volatile oil represents the essential oil with the different composition with
chemical physics different. Cubebae fructus is one of spices that contain volatile oil
and a lot of exploited as gonorrhea, bronchitis, and dicentri.
The purpose of this research to increase useful of fruit cubeba and to know
volatile oil constituents include simplicia characteristics, isolation of volatile oil was
accomplished by water distillation and analyzed volatile oil components by Gas
Cromatography - Mass Spectrophotometry.
The result of cubeba fruitWonosobo simplicia characteristics obtained water
value 9,32%; the water soluble extract value 15,27%; the etanol soluble extract value
12,72%; the total ash value 1,13%; the acid insoluble ash value 0,17% and
determination of volatile oil value by Stahl apparatus 9,03%. The refractive index
1,494 and specific gravity 0,9017. The result of cubeba fruit Padang Sidempuan leaf
simplicia characteristics obtained water value 8,65%; the water soluble extract value
23,44%; the etanol soluble extract value 15,47%; the total ash value 2,35%; the acid
insoluble ash value 0,58% and determination of volatile oil value by Stahl apparatus
5,99%. The refractive index 1,494 and specific gravity 0,8993.
The result of analyzed by GC – MS was gotten 5 major components of fruit
cubeba Wonosobo oil is Sabinene (27,36%), α-Terpinolene (9,33%), Thujene (5,52%),
β-Ocimene (4,33%), and α-Terpinene (0,33%).The result of analyzed by GC – MS was
gotten 5 major components of fruit cubeba Padang Sidempuan oil is Sabinene
(14,97%), α-Terpinolene (4,39%), Farnesol (4,39%), Thujene (3,51%), and β-Ocimene
(2,89 %).
