    COURTESY CALL TO THE NEW CHED CHAIRPERSON


    The Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business (PCDEB) and the Business
    Education-Industry (BEI) Linkage officers paid a courtesy call to the new CHED
    Chairperson Dr. Patricia Licuanan last November 30, 2010. During the round table
    discussions, Dr. Lincuanan expressed her support to the ongoing projects of the BEI
    with PCDEB as its academe implementing arm. She suggested several areas the
    Linkage must consider so the efforts of CHED in these business education areas could
    be supported. She considered the PCDEB’s PAPBE Business Educators Accreditation
    project as a unique pioneering move in the Academic area. She emphasized her desire,
    however, for heavier points in the area of industry competencies and skills in the
    evaluation of the individuals applying for accreditation.

    The group also visited Dr. Nona S. Ricafort and invited her to be Investiture
    Administering Officer during the March 2011 PAPBE Ceremonies.
