CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle

Finish at Maudsley Hospital

Celebrate the festive season and get into the Christmas spirit with CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle
walk on 18th December. Discover ‘Mad Art’ and famous artists who have lived at The Bethlem
Hospital and the Maudsley, explore South London’s hidden mysteries!

Meet us at the Tate Modern at 12noon and walk with us to the Maudsley Hospital where we will meet
Father Xmas and Carol Singers, and have mince pies!

Please wear festive Red & White Hats, warm clothes and bring Bells!!! Join us for a fun guided
cultural walk, learn new things about Southwark and its history of mental health, meet like-minded
people and make friends. All welcome, suitable for the whole family, people with disabilities or none!

Walkers meet at 12noon at the main entrance of Tate Modern (turbine hall), Bankside, London SE1
9TG and walk to Maudsley Hospital, Denmark Hill, London SE5 8AZ. Call CoolTan Arts on
07985658443 if you cannot find the group of walkers on the day.

5 Mile walk through the back streets of Southwark- allow 4 hours. Feel free to bring sandwiches and
a bottle of water. The walk is free but a voluntary contribution will be appreciated, all money goes
towards CoolTan Arts.

Additional information
The Largactyl Shuffle is named after the oldest anti-psychotic
drug chlorpromazine sold as Largactil in Europe which has severe side effects.
