About the Conference
This conference aims to spread the awareness
of Green Chemistry and to provide the
necessary foundation to an on-going initiative
on creating an interface between Green
Chemistry and academia. Conference will focus
on real-world applications of Green Chemistry
and to build an industry-university-government
partnership. It will provide a vision on the
concepts and processes of Green Chemistry on
reducing and preventing pollution to make the
environment greener and cleaner. The proposed
outcome of Conference is to popularize and
would gather here to discuss, share and
exchange information, ideas, research and
innovation to promote the application of Green
Chemistry concepts to the benefit of the
society. Conference will create a fundamental
understanding of the concept of Green
Chemistry. Young minds will be enthused and
inspired to pursue Green Chemistry with
commitment and passion.
Green Chemistry is evolving itself with
substantial inputs from Chemistry, Physics,
Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences and
Environmental Economics making it a strong
inter-disciplinary domain of research.

Scope and Objectives
Green Chemistry is about the design,
development and re-engineering of chemical
products and processes so as to reduce or
completely eliminate the use of hazardous
substances and generation of products that
adversely affect human life.
Therefore, it is a challenge for chemists and
allied scientists to develop new products,
processes and services or re-engineering of
already existing processes towards bringing in
efficiency and effectiveness in attaining
sustainable growth and development. This
needs new approaches in terms of
biodegradability, achieving better energy and
material conservation, recycling approaches,
total elimination of' effluents discharged into
the environment, better effluent treatment
methodologies, employing alternate and
renewable source of energy systems. This also
needs to consolidate the academic and scientific
progress made in this direction, and to bring all
scientists, academicians, and researchers across
the nation on a common platform towards
fusion of knowledge.
