RESOLUTION
Instructing certain committees to report legislation replacing
the job-killing health care law.

1 Resolved, That the Committee on Education and the

2 Workforce, the Committee on Energy and Commerce, the
3 Committee on the Judiciary, and the Committee on Ways
4 and Means, shall each report to the House legislation pro-
5 posing changes to existing law within each committee’s ju-
6 risdiction with provisions that—
7 (1) foster economic growth and private sector
8 job creation by eliminating job-killing policies and
9 regulations;

1 (2) lower health care premiums through in-
2 creased competition and choice;
3 (3) preserve a patient’s ability to keep his or
4 her health plan if he or she likes it;
5 (4) provide people with pre-existing conditions
6 access to affordable health coverage;
7 (5) reform the medical liability system to re-
8 duce unnecessary and wasteful health care spending;
9 (6) increase the number of insured Americans;
10 (7) protect the doctor-patient relationship;
11 (8) provide the States greater flexibility to ad-
12 minister Medicaid programs;
13 (9) expand incentives to encourage personal re-
14 sponsibility for health care coverage and costs;
15 (10) prohibit taxpayer funding of abortions and
16 provide conscience protections for health care pro-
17 viders;
18 (11) eliminate duplicative government programs
19 and wasteful spending; or,
20 (12) do not accelerate the insolvency of entitle-
21 ment programs or increase the tax burden on Ameri-
22 cans.
