resource. Plants, animals, and people need air to live. Air is all
around us. Wind is moving air.

How does Earth change?
Earth is always changing. Erosion can change Earth. Erosion happens
when rocks or soil are moved by water or wind. Plants can help
prevent erosion. The roots on plants hold the soil in place.

What is the water cycle?


The way water moves from the clouds to Earth and back to the clouds
again is called the water cycle. Look at this picture. Look at the steps in

What are some kinds of dangerous weather?
Tornadoes can happen during thunderstorms. A tornado is a very
strong wind that comes down from clouds in the shape of a funnel.
Tornadoes form very quickly. It is hard to predict when a tornado will
happen. A tornado that touches the ground can destroy things in its
path.
