college of quezon city. The purpose of the study is to determine the health practices and

coping mechanisms of mothers with child diagnosed with cerebral palsy for the students

to be able to come up with proper health teaching techniques for the mothers of the

children with cerebral palsy. To explore the many aspects to the situation, the researchers

opted to use survey questionnaires, as well as interviews, to obtain data which were

subjected to statistical treatment, analysis, and interpretation. A total of 10 survey

questions were handed out to the [10] respondents. The results of the study can be

categorized into 4 major factors: physical, mental, emotional, and social. For

environmental, the highest factor was:no permanent, or lack of, classrooms, faulty

facilities, too many distractions, and bullies; forfinancial: too many school-related

activities that require payment, and costly miscellaneous fees;for personal: dislike for

teachers, feeling that the teachers dislike them, they cannot relate to theteaching strategy,

and feeling that the teachers were not approachable; for academic: difficultsubject matter,

unjust makeup for ovds, and questionable computation of grades.

We propose that a replication of this study should be made in order to expand and

promote knowledge about health practices and coping mechanisms of mothers with child

diagnosed with cerebral palsy in terms of physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects.
