Our Top Requests for A Team Atmosphere

We need your help to make your child the best dancer they can be!

1. If my child comes more than 10 minutes late they may be asked to sit and observe their class. This is
for my child’s safety. If this happens, I will not receive a refund or credit for the class. Initials _____

2. I understand that proper attire is required for my child’s teacher to view my child’s posture in dance
class. I will make sure my child has the necessary shoes, clothes, and hairstyle for all dance classes. If
my child repeatedly does no come to class in the proper attire, I understand that they may be asked to sit
and observe the class. Initials _____

3. I will address all concerns about my child’s class to the studio director, Renee Brice. I understand that
asking the instructor or office staff before or after dance class may be an inappropriate time. I realize I
may be asked to make a 10-minute appointment, or put my concerns in writing. Initials _____

4. I understand recital participation is optional. Should I choose to have my child participate in the recital,
I understand that Dress Rehearsal is mandatory. Being absent from dress rehearsal may mean that my
child will not be allowed to perform at the recital. Recital costs that I have paid will not be refunded.

5. I understand that communication is primarily done through e-mail and flyers posted at the dance center.
It is my responsibility to keep BGDC updated with my correct e-mail address. I will make efforts each
month to stay informed of any updates for my child’s dance education. Initials _____

6. I understand that it is my responsibility to leave the studio as I found it. There is no eating or drinking
(other than water) in the waiting areas. Initials _____

7. While in the waiting areas, I will actively monitor any children I have brought to the facility. I will not
leave my child unattended at any time.

8. Children must be picked up 10 minutes after their dance class finishes. I will call the studio if I will be

9. I will make the effort to learn the difference between the activities “dress rehearsal” and “dance recital”.

10. If my child is sick and contagious, I will not bring them to dance class. Initials _____

11. Tuition is due on the first class of each 4-week session. This might not fall at the first of the month. I
may be charged a late fee. Initials _____

12. Make-up classes are available should my child miss their regular weekly dance class. I understand I
have committed to pay a set monthly tuition, for the entire dance year. Initials _____

13. Final Class placement is based on the sole discretion of the Director. If needed I will put any concerns
in writing, and present them to the Director. Initials _____

14. I will read the Student Handbook (in August), and the Recital Handbook (in January). Initials _____
