Humanities Faculty Profile


 What the faculty is consists of, staffing, rooms, resources, ICT packages, etc.

The Humanities faculty is made of 13 members of staff. We have a Head of Humanities,


a Head of Geography, Head of History, Head of Social Science and Head of Health and
Social Care. In addition to this we have teachers who have the ability to teach more than
one subject. We have 6 specialists classrooms which are well equipped for teaching
students with a full range of needs.

 The curriculum structure, the subjects offered, the qualifications available, etc.

Key Stage 3 Geography, History

Key Stage 4 GCSE Geography, GCSE History, GCSE Sociology, GCSE Psychology,
and BTEC Health and Social Care (Level 2)

Key Stage 5 AS/A2 History, AS/A2 Psychology, AS/A2 Sociology, and BTEC Health and
Social Care (Level 2 and Level 3).

 The faculty, subject focus, results and other data

Results are steadily improving and we are constantly developing new strategies to ensure
the students we teach are pushed to achieve their full potential.

 Extra-curricular activities

Students are provided with a range of opportunities including homework clubs, eco-
committee, fair trade committee, 10:10 campaign group and many more.

 The importance of your subject

The faculty aims to offer students the opportunities to develop a range of skills useful to
them as they progress towards achieving their future aspirations. The range of subjects we
offer allows us to have a positive impact on a wide range of students

The Humanities faculty is made up of an enthusiastic team of people who provide a
