Dear Mayor:

This is the committee meeting schedule that will be


held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the City council
Chambers. All Council committee meetings shall begin at
4:30 p.m. unless otherwise designated.

Community Development Committee meeting at 4:30


p.m.

1. To hear a presentation from HDQ Neighborhood Group.

2. To hear an update from the Administration on the status


of the Ruston Foundry Site, including but not limited to:
The current status of this case-what attorney/firm is
working on the case, how much has been paid in legal
fees to the attorney/firm and what is the status of
completion on the case? Also at the ceremony where
EPA released the clean up documents to the city, and
environmental award of Brownsfield projects reuse was
given to the city in the amount of $200,000. What
programs were utilized with this grant?

3. To hear a status report from the Administration of the


redevelopment of Frank O. Hunter Parks, including but
not limited to time frame, contractor information, site
plans, etc.

4. To hear a status report from the Administration on the


commercial development at the front of the Hodges
Stockyard property, including but not limited to time
frame, RFP information, site plans, etc.

Utility Committee meeting at 4:45 p.m. or


immediately following

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing


the Mayor to renew a Professional Services Agreement
with GDS Associates, Inc. to undertake a
comprehensive review and analysis of the utility
system.

2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing


the Mayor to accept the quote received from Square D
by Schneider Electric for 138 kv substation equipment
maintenance & testing for the Electric Distribution
department.

Please have your staff note the change in format for the
committee meetings done in compliance with R. S. 42.7. The
Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise the
public of scheduling regarding committee meetings. It is
always that the intention of the Council to convene
committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior
committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may
indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Have
appropriate members from your Administration present for
discussion.
