An abstract on

“Emerging Practices in Effective Governance”

Abstract

This article talks about e-governance as an emerging practice for effective governance. E-
Governance is an emerging platform for proper distribution of services or processes to the
people. E-Governance may be applied by the legislature, judiciary or administration, in order to
improve internal efficiency, the delivery of public services or processes of democratic
governance. E-Governance is considered as a form of information technology used in the
government functioning to provide efficient and transparent government system .E-Governance
facilitates the country to move up the ladder of growth in terms of economy, living standards,
etc. E-Governance is practiced in the form of e-filing of income tax, Adhar, etc.

Purpose

The purpose of this paper is to explore the benefits of e-governance in India. The paper will
also discuss the various applications of e-governance. New applications of e-governance will
also be discussed where e-governance can contribute for better governance.

Key words: e-governance, Adhar.

Methodology

The information which will be presented in this research paper is collected from secondary
sources like journals, databases, magazines, etc.
