Company News: On October 5, 1998, the company initiated trad-
ing of new securities with a par value of Rp 500 per share. Previously
these shares traded on the exchange with a par value of Rp 1,000,
but a stock split in March 1998 created new shares and halved the
par value to Rp 500 per share.
Financial Performance: According to the consolidated financial
report of December 31, 1999, the company accounted a net profit of
Rp 8.9 billion or an increase of 21.5% compared to the previous year.
Brief History : The company cooperates with 4 domestic rein-
surance companies and more than 17 overseas reinsurance compa-
nies. The company was founded in 1956 under the name of PT
Maskapai Asuransi Ramayana and currently has 19 branches.
