6 Liquid Crystal Display ( LCD )

A liquid crystal display (LCD) is a thin, flat panel used for electronically displaying
information such as text, images, and moving pictures. Its uses include monitors for computers,
televisions, instrument panels, and other devices ranging from aircraft cockpit displays, to every-
day consumer devices such as video players, gaming devices, clocks, watches, calculators, and
telephones.

2.7 Push-Button

A push-button or simply button is a simple switch mechanism for controlling some

aspect of a machine or a process. Buttons are typically made out of hard material, usually plastic
or metal. Pushbuttons are often color-coded to associate them with their function so that the
operator will not push the wrong button in error. Commonly used colors are red for stopping the
machine or process and green for starting the machine or process.

Buttons are most often biased switches, though even many un-biased buttons (due to their
physical nature) require a spring to return to their un-pushed state. Different people use different
terms for the "pushing" of the button, such as press, depress, mash, and punch.

A reset button is a button that can reset a device. Reset buttons are found on circuit
breakers to reset the circuit. This button can cause data corruption so this button often doesn't
exist on many machines.
