 INTRODUCTION

This project contains all detailed information of criminals. This also

provide the criminal’s details ( photographs are also shown ) according to
required police station, or required district. This project provides the facility of
searching a criminal and his records according to his name and can add new
criminal, police station and district in the database.

OBJECTIVE

 This project is user friendly in the various activities such as record

updating, maintenance, and searching.

 Separate database is maintained to handle all the details required for the
correct statement calculation and generation.

 The searching of record has been made quite simple.

 Details are also being automatically updated in the master file thus
keeping the record absolutely up-to-date.

 Only authorized user can retrieve the necessary information because to

access the information, we need the administrator name and password.
 ADVANTAGES

 The manual handling of the record is time consuming and highly prone
to error. This project is fully computerized and user friendly.

 All the control is under the administrator and the no other member has
the rights to access the records. No one can add or search the
information about the criminals.

 Since illegal access may corrupt the database. So login window has to
be given in this project.

 In this project we can generate reports on the basis of that criminals are
related to the particular district or the particular Police station.

 We can see also the criminal’s photographs. Administrator can change

photograph by uploading new one from the computer.

 FRONT END : JSP, Servlet

 BACK END : My SQL

 SERVER : Apache Tomcat 6.0 Server
 EDITOR : Edit plus 3.0
 DBMS : My-sql-front

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

 RAM : 256 MB
 Hard Disk : 1 GB free space
 Processor : Intel P-3 processor
 FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS

 We can also store the finger-prints of criminals in database.

 Security can be extended to the higher level of security.
 This project can be enhanced that we can search criminals by matching
the finger-prints and also we can generate the report of all cases associated to a
particular criminal.
