Task 1. Spelling
1. Learn your Spelling words for
Friday’s spelling test.
2. This week’s spelling is also on Spelling

Try some of the games and activities.
3. EACH night write 3 good sentences in
your Homefun notebook. Each sentence
should contain one of your spelling words,
and have a capital letter, full stop as well
as make sense.
Make sure you check your work yourself
when you have finished.
Task 2. Reading
Read a book of your choice for at least 10
-15 minutes EACH night!
Task 3. Basic facts
1. Each night learn 2 basic facts that you
got incorrect or didn’t do so that your
score improves each week!

Task 4
Write an acrostic poem about the
Swimming Carnival we had last
week. Write Swimming Carnival
down the page with one letter on
each line and write a short
phrase starting with that letter
about the carnival beside each.
Remember to use lots of
descriptive language to describe
what it was like and how you
felt.
If you weren’t there write a
poem about something else.

Tips for Quality Homework
* Make a colourful heading for
each section.
* Use HB pencil for writing and
coloured pencils for headings and
illustrations.
* Rule off neatly with a ruler
after each section.
* Try your hardest with spelling
and neatness.
