The motivations of our study are as below:

2. To have a brief overview about the history of offshore banking in Malaysia and the

role of Labuan as offshore banking centre.

3. To have a good understanding regarding the issues that is vital in the world of

4. To examine the importance and significance of this issues to the performance of the

offshore banking industry.

significance of the industry in creating a vibrant and stable economic growth
