Year 10 DRAMA work – Autumn checklist

Nearly all pupils in both groups have successfully completed the

following work;

West Yorks Playhouse / Job roles

An overview or more specific study of the roles discussed during the
WYPH work (we did this across several weeks concentrating on the
timescale involved and the actual staffing structure)

Miss Saigon
A magazine article which describes the complex process of
auditioning / casting and creating a large scale ‘event’ musical

Edinburgh Festival
A look at a large Arts Festival and the variety and style of
productions from the more traditional to the experimental

10D have also completed some work with Mr Lee, and attended /
written up the talk by Stephen Clough

Work due in before Christmas;

Priestley Shorts – looking at the role of the Director and Designer

and the different approaches to playing characters

Scunthorpe theatres
A brief article about the range of productions on offer in a typical
provincial theatre (pro / am – target audience etc)
