ADNAN AHMED (EMD)

The Aman Foundation EMS

March 16, 2011
 Purpose of EMD Protocol.

 Brief introduction of EMD.

 How handle a Traffic Incident call.

 Emergencies Countdown

At the end of my presentation I hope that you will

learn some thing new and will understand how to
hold on our call.
 Why use the EMD Protocol?

 There will be times when It was observed By Aman

Foundation that an EMD is the first responder to
any Emergency who can give to the callers some
lifesaving techniques over the telephone. Because
EMDs operate in a "blind environment" (are not at
the scene) and have to rely on the caller to give
them information, the EMD needs to rely on
something to help them determine what is
happening and what they can do about it. That is
the purpose of the EMD Protocol.
 Systematized, scripted formal caller interrogation
process (key questions)

 Systematized, scripted post-dispatch and pre-

arrival instructions (PAIs)

 Clinical/ situational problem descriptors and

associated codes that match the dispatcher’s
evaluation of the injury or illness and severity with
vehicle response mode and configuration (dispatch
priorities including determinants and response)

 Support and definitional reference information
